On July 19, 2002, a candlelight vigil in Ottawa with "Lotus Flower Lanterns""Lotus Flower Lantern"
Reporters from TV Station interviewing Ms. Zhang Li. Her husband, Mr. He Lizhi, a talented senior engineer who received many awards at the national and departmental levels, is a Falun Gong practitioner who was illegally sentenced to three and a half years in prison.
I also support you: a non-practitioner joins the candlelight vigil, and reads the poem entitled "A Lotus Flower" Practitioners explaining the implied meaning of the poem "A Lotus Flower"

Over the past three years, as Jiang illegally persecuted Falun Gong, practitioners have demonstrated great compassion and great tolerance in the face of unprecedented and savage persecution and have illuminated the world with the brilliance of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance."

In the face of the Jiang regime's irrational defamation and brutal persecution, the Canadian government, the Canadian people and non-governmental organizations have displayed their strong sense of justice in rescuing Professor Zhang Kunlun, Ms. Zhu Ying, Mr. Lin Shenli, and in supporting Falun Gong. Falun Gong practitioners are touched by their upright support. Practitioners presented their handmade paper lotus flowers to people from all walks of life to express gratitude for their support, while at the same time portraying the beautiful and noble nature of Falun Gong throughout these three years of brutal persecution.
