Dafa Practitioners sending forth righteous thoughts in front of the Chinese Embassy in London with twenty-four-hour continuity.

We have been taking turns sitting and meditating for nearly forty days for twenty-four hours continuously. What struck us most was the understanding of the meaning of the phrase, "Through hardships the body of gold is tempered." It was a golden opportunity given to us by our benevolent and noble teacher to eliminate the evil. During these days, the weather in London has been unpredictable. While sitting there, we would feel cold as if in an ice cave one moment and so hot, as if in a frying pan or in a steamer the next. With the wind blowing and the rain falling, and sometimes with the sun scorching, we were tested by sleepiness and hunger. With our emotions going up and down and with the Xinxing tests amongst practitioners, we truly felt that we were elevating.

There have been many touching stories, too, which made us feel our benevolent teacher was right there with us. For example, many practitioners were wondering whether or not our continuous twenty-four-hour sitting had been effective. Teacher then utilized a non-practitioner's words to enlighten and encourage us. A worker from the Chinese Embassy one day said to us: "I think your sitting here has been very effective!" Indeed, ever since we started sending forth righteous thoughts at this spot a month ago, news about Falun Gong has been seen in the national (British) and local media seven or eight times. It was very difficult to achieve this in the past. As an example, a journalist from a famous national newspaper came and interviewed us because his wife had been passing in front of us everyday. She was touched and she asked her husband voluntarily to come and find out more about us. When practitioner Dai Zhizhen visited us, they interviewed her for more than an hour as a result of this. While we sat, the passing-by drivers would often honk or gesture with their thumbs up. It was especially so with the tour guides from the tour buses. While we were sitting there with our eyes closed and sending forth righteous thoughts, we'd often hear the tour guides through their amplifiers: " On your right is the Chinese Embassy and these peaceful meditators are the Falun Gong people. They have been here for a long time doing a twenty-four-hour appeal. They are protesting against the Chinese government for persecuting people who believe in Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance." Upon hearing these words, we truly felt that the Fa-rectification is getting closer and closer to Britain.
