A Few Words about Clarifying the Truth and Cultivation of Speech

Dafa practitioners clarify the truth to help sentient beings become free of the poison and the lies so they may choose a bright future for themselves. However, if we are not careful, some of our inappropriate words may have the opposite impact.

For example, the persecution of Falun Gong was initiated by Jiang out of his personal biased will and jealousy. Falun Gong does not oppose any government, nor are we involved in politics. But when some Chinese and western practitioners expose the evil, they often refer to the "government," "Chinese government" or "China" etc., forgetting that these words do not match the truth. "Government," "Chinese government" and "China" include many government officials and people who are disgusted by, and opposed to this persecution, and those precious lives need to be saved by us. If we do not cultivate our speech in this respect, we not only unintentionally count many people as part of the old forces, but also make it easy for the evil in the human world to start rumors and to use these loopholes to poison sentient beings.

Besides telling the truth of the persecution of Falun Gong, it is also important to clarify the truth of Falun Gong itself. However, we should talk from an angle and level that is easy for non-practitioners to understand and accept, rather than emphasize our understandings of cultivation and Fa-rectification as Dafa practitioners. This manifests as our cultivation of speech and our compassion in thinking of others at all times; also this shows whether we are truly responsible to the Fa, to sentient beings and to ourselves.
