(Clearwisdom.net) On Saturday, July 20, 2002, Belgian practitioners gathered in downtown Brussels to call upon the Belgian government and its people, as well as people of the world, to help stop the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China and put an end to the inhumane suppression.

Many passersby and visitors stopped to watch and ask for detailed information.

An English woman with her child viewed the photos about persecution and insisted on helping us. She asked for brochure entitled, "Witness" and expressed that she would write to the Prime Minister, Mr. Blair, telling him about the truth and asking him to extend his help. She also asked us to write down the names of Chinese president and premier. She wanted to write to ask them to stop their evil deeds. She also wanted to let her friends know the real situation of Falun Gong.

A Belgian girl, in particular, asked us what she could do to help us. The practitioners said that they hoped that more people would come to know the truth. The girl said that her friends were in a large organization and they often held activities. She wanted to help contact them to invite the practitioners to clarify the true facts about Falun Gong.

Some passersby took more materials for their friends. Oftentimes, some passersby said some encouraging words to us. A major TV station came to interview practitioners.

One Belgian man initially did not understand why we were holding the activity. He thought we opposed the Chinese government. He said he liked China. The practitioners told him that we also hoped that China would become better, and we never opposed the Chinese government. What we opposed is this evil suppression. Our Teacher told us explicitly that we do not "get involved in politics," "Other people may treat us badly, but we do not treat others badly, nor do we treat people as enemies." However, it is wrong to persecute people who believe in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," and the persecution should be stopped. All people with a sense of justice will condemn this persecution. Moreover, the evil suppression was launched by only a handful of bad people who usurped their political power. However, many leaders in the Chinese government oppose the persecution of Falun Gong. In the end, the man said that he absolutely opposed the persecution of belief, and he had understood what we were doing and hoped to learn more about Falun Dafa.

Many Chinese tourists had an opportunity to see the photos about persecution and practitioners' large-scale exercise demonstration.
