UK Practitioners Clarify the Truth and Expose the Evil Persecution at the Third Anniversary of July 20 (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) July 20th, 2002 saw the end of the third year of persecution against Falun Gong by Jiang's regime. Jiang uses his political power to carry out this persecution in a villainous fashion. Against public opinion and the people's will, the persecution also goes against human morality.

For the past three years Falun Gong practitioners, with their indestructible will, have safeguarded their noble belief in "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance" in a peaceful and firm way. Over the past three years Falun Gong practitioners have deeply touched all the kind and righteous people in the world. Today, Falun Dafa is practiced in almost sixty countries in the world.

Today on July 20th, British practitioners held activities to clarify the truth and to spread Dafa around the UK, such as in London, the Midlands and the North.

Outside the Chinese Embassy in London

In London, practitioners held a press conference outside the Chinese Embassy featuring a statement calling for an immediate end to Jiang's reign of terror. The Vice Chairman of Friends of Falun Gong Europe, Mr. John Dee, also made a speech and practitioners read written statements from Glenda Jackson MP and councillor Brian Coleman. In their statements, they condemned Jiang's persecution against Falun Gong. Later, one practitioner talked about the story of his sister who was subjected to brutal persecution because of her belief in Falun Dafa, and who is still imprisoned in a labor camp.

However, the officials inside the Chinese Embassy did not dare to come out and listen to the speeches because they clearly understand the truth behind the persecution. Having a guilty conscience, they set up an amplifier to play loud music and interfere with our speeches and statements. This kind of behaviour made the passers-by recognize the spreading of Jiang's persecution outside of China. Because the nearby residents were influenced by the noise from the amplifier, the manager from an office building came to the Chinese Embassy to complain to the police officer on duty about their noise, asking them to turn off the amplifier. However, the Chinese Embassy just kept its doors shut as usual. Then, the angry manager came toward one practitioner, saying, "They (The Chinese officials) are rascals! You did a good job!"

There was one thing worth mentioning. When we were sending forth righteous thoughts, one British woman sat down near us, pressing her hands together in front of her chest and showing her support for us.

In the afternoon, some of the practitioners left the Chinese Embassy for Chinatown to tell the Chinese people the truth about Falun Gong and Jiang's persecution. This was different from our past experiences because many Chinese people came toward us to take information. There were two Chinese, one of whom took the information materials. The other who did not take the materials came back for them later. Now the information materials in Chinese could be handed out very quickly. Many passers-by were attracted to our display, reading the information carefully. Some of them even asked us to teach them the exercises. One Chinese and one westerner learned the five sets of exercises on one of the busy streets in Chinatown.
