Practitioner Ms. Li from Penglai City, Shandong Province, Dies From Torture at the Hands of Beijing Police


(Clearwisdom.net) At the beginning of February 2002, Dafa practitioner Jiang Yibin's wife, Ms. Li, also a Dafa practitioner, from Long-shan-cun-dian of Daxindian Town, Penglai City in Shandong Province, went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. She was beaten brutally by Beijing police, and tortured to a vegetative state before she was sent back to Yantai City by airplane and on to Penglai Hospital for emergency treatment. The treatment failed, however, and she died in the middle of February at Penglai Hospital.

Ms. Li was a well-known good person in her hometown. The news of her death from torture greatly shocked the local people. The people started to realize the brutality and recklessness of Jiang's regime and his roughnecks. Many people donated paper money at her funeral. The police worked hard to have a news-blackout, and searched and arrested those practitioners who attended the funeral.
