Police in Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province Violently Torture Falun Dafa Practitioners

(Clearwisdom.net) On July 7, 2002, a group of policemen including a person named Jiang from Anbang Police Station of Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province went to Shuangsheng Village and ransacked three Falun Dafa practitioners' homes. Among them, Dafa practitioner Lu Guihong escaped from the arrest with her righteous thoughts, while her husband, who does not cultivate, was forcibly taken away by the police. Lu's husband was beaten and interrogated for the source of the truth-clarifying materials. He was detained in the police station for a day. In the evening, this group of police went again to search his home, the second time in one day. Next day, they again went to ransack his home. They also went to harass his relatives and searched their homes.

The police kidnapped Dafa practitioner Liu Chuanjun and took him to the detention center for no rational reason. In protest of the illegal detention, Liu staged a hunger strike and refused to eat or drink. In response to this hunger strike the authorities released him 15 days later. However, the police demanded that he pay 150 Yuan for his board expenses. Liu did not have the money, and the police made him sign a note indicating he owed them 150 Yuan. After returning home, Liu realized that he had failed to use his righteous thoughts to resist the evil persecution; therefore, he went to the police department, took back the note, and tore it up. The police became exasperated and again took him to the detention center. However seeing his face festered due to the torture, the detention center refused to accept him. The police had no choice but to take Liu back to the police department. Because Liu did not give them the money, the police took him wherever they went. At dusk, the police encountered Liu's wife on the road, and they asked her for the money. She replied, "I haven't asked you for money. You have tortured him to this state." The police then simply sent Liu home.

Around 3:00 a.m. on May 2, 2002, Gao Zhaofa, a Dafa practitioner living in Shuangyashan City, was reading at home when policemen from Shuangshan Police Station of Shuangyashan City broke into his home and grabbed his book. Seeing the police taking away this precious book, Gao tried to take it from their hands. At that moment, four to five policemen came up together, pressed Gao down on the floor, and brutally beat him. When Gao's mother and wife saw their loved one being beaten almost to death, they cried out loudly, "Don't beat him any more. Don't beat him any more." Hearing their shouts, the police threatened them, saying, "If you yell again, you are interfering with our performing our duties and we will take you away too." Dao's mother and wife helplessly watched the vicious policemen acting like beasts in beating up their loved one. The beating left wounds all over Gao's face and body. He was then forced into the police vehicle and taken away. It was said that after Gao was taken to the police station, the police felt that they had not fully vented their anger and they again badly beat him. Afterwards, he was sent to a detention center and has still not been released.
