By a practitioner from Sydney
(Clearwisdom.net) July 20, 2002 marked the 3rd anniversary since
Jiang's regime began perversely persecuting Falun Gong. Practitioners from
Sydney held a memorial candle light vigil in front of the Chinese Consulate from
6:30 AM to 9 AM and from 7 PM to 10 PM, respectively. The purpose of the
activities was to mourn the practitioners who have been tortured or beaten to
death and to expose Jiang Zemin's evil crimes, so that more and more people
learn the truth of the persecution and help together to end it.
Photos of some of the practitioners who have been tortured to death were
displayed. A large wreath read, "A New Song to the Whole World." Four hundred
and thirty eight small white candle lamps were tidily put along the roadside.
The spectacle was very solemn. Passersby expressed their understandings towards
us and asked for truth-clarifying materials and Dafa introductory information.
Drivers also honked their horns to express their support.
Dafa practitioners silently sat there, sending forth righteous thoughts once
every half an hour to resolutely eliminate the evil in other dimensions. The
strong righteous thoughts and the glistening candlelight converged into the
first light of dawn. The darkness is being driven out and the spring of Fa-rectifying
the human world is coming closer and closer.
