Practitioners in Seattle, Washington Participate in Ocean Festival Parades and Hold Photo Exhibition to Commemorate Third Anniversary of July 20 (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) This year, July 20 coincides with the first in a series of the nine parades of the Ocean Festival in Seattle area. To fully use the opportunity to clarify the truth of Falun Dafa at the third anniversary of July 20, practitioners participated in parades in three communities from July 20 to July 22.

During the three parades we held banners that read "Falun Dafa -- Meditation for Body and Mind" and "Truth, Compassion, Tolerance." Spectators along the routes applauded for our exercise demonstration. People were so eager to receive the handouts that practitioners found difficulty catching up. Many children liked the Falun Dafa balloons. When practitioners reached the stage area, the host briefly introduced Falun Gong teaching to the spectators.

Our parade in Chinatown was much appreciated by the spectators. A Westerner told the practitioner distributing flyers, "Thank you for coming. You are so brave." Some Chinese were initially afraid of accepting information, but after seeing that practitioners were so kind they also smiled and accepted flyers. Our soothing practice music was in strong contrast to other parade teams and left a clear impression on the spectators. Some people told us, "This music is so good"

After the parade on July 20, practitioners came to Pak Park and held a Journey of Falun Dafa Photo Exhibition. The park is one of Seattle's tourist attractions. Many tourists, some from China, come here to visit. Having browsed through the photos, a Chinese tourist said, "Your organization is so big." The practitioner replied, "We do not have an organization. You see I made these photo exhibition boards all by myself. I downloaded the photos and bought everything with my own money. No one tells me to do it. Even coming here today is my own decision." The tourist was surprised and expressed his admiration to Falun Gong practitioners.

A young Chinese lady passed the photo exhibition with an American gentleman. The lady refused to accept a flyer and said bad words to her companion. The American said, "You should take the information from China. We have to learn the story from both sides to find out the truth." Then he accepted the information.

After having seen the photos displaying tortures that Dafa practitioners suffer in jails in China, a Chinese said to a practitioner, "I did not know it is this bad before. Is there anything I can do to help?"
