July 19 was a sunny day in Copenhagen. Dafa practitioners from Sweden, Norway
and Denmark marched in a parade from the "konglige Nytorv" to "Nytorv" by
Str get (a major road). Journalists from a newspaper, an Internet magazine and
an Icelandic radio/TV station accepted an invitation to attend the parade and
speak to the practitioners.
The politician Viggo Fischer, ex-member of the "Konservative Folkeparti"
party, made a very beautiful speech in which he condemned the Chinese regimes'
persecution of Falun Gong. Among other things, he revealed that he was present
in Vienna when China signed treaties concerning Human Rights and that he could
see China did not respect them now. Furthermore he made a comparison between
Jiang Zemin and Pinochet, Milosevic, Galtieri and Honnecker and deemed that the
Chinese leaders will also soon receive their judgment.
After the parade we spent the whole afternoon at "Nytorv" by "Str get," where
many people passed by. Many people got to know the truth about the persecution
and the practice of Falun Gong. Some even wanted to learn the exercises on the
spot. Australian practitioner Dai Zhizen told many people about how her family
was broken apart after her husband was tortured to death in China and her
sister-in-law was put in a forced labour camp. Her father-in-law died of grief
when he learnt what had happened to his daughter and son. Dai was left alone to
raise her then 14-month old baby.
In the evening there was a candlelight vigil in front of the city hall. On
the following day, we sent forth righteous thoughts outside the Chinese Embassy
at Nytorv, Str get.
