(Clearwisdom.net) On 20 July, 2002, Clair NetNews in Europe reported that New Zealand Falun Gong practitioners gathered in central Auckland and held a parade. The parade procession moved from Totea Square to end at Queen Street.

They protested against the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners for the past three years in China.

A lot of participants came from Wellington. Most were wearing bright yellow jackets.

Shieh li-je, a spokeswoman for Falun Gong, called on New Zealanders to help stop Jiang's regime's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.

She said 438 persons had been tortured or beaten to death and tens of thousands of people sent to jail.
