My Experience Passing Through Customs in Iceland

Before I went to Iceland, I read a media report that said that many Falun Dafa practitioners were being prevented from entering Iceland by the Iceland government. I knew for sure that this was the result of the old evil forces interference, so I increased my frequency of sending righteous thoughts and added the extra thought to "eliminate all evil obstacles preventing practitioners from entering Iceland." The first time I sent out this thought, I entered into a state of deep tranquility, which also occurred on subsequent days when sending righteous thoughts. At the same time, I also increased my duration of Fa study. Before I left for Iceland, I was calm and at ease and filled with very powerful righteous thoughts.

On the morning of June 11, I entered the Customs and Immigration hall at the Iceland airport and saw a couple of Falun Dafa practitioners already in there. I also saw a few people that looked Chinese sitting and standing on the right hand side of the Immigration Office. There were four to five policemen patrolling the lines of people who were waiting to go pass through immigration and customs. When they found Falun Dafa practitioners, they asked them to step out of the line and prevented them from passing through.

When I got into the line, I did not have any fear in my heart and sent forth the righteous thought that, "the evil can not see me." There were two practitioners in front of me. An Immigration officer blocked one of them and asked the other to step out of line before reaching the counter. An American couple behind me was curious what was going on and asked out loud, "What is happening to these people? How come any person who looks Chinese is being prevented from entering the country?" At that point, I naturally turned around to tell them the true story about Falun Dafa and the persecution in China, and the policeman did not notice me when he came by.

When it was my turn to enter the custom's gate, the American couple behind me asked, "Do you feel you will be able to enter Iceland without getting stopped?" Without hesitation and without looking back I replied with determination, "Yes." The moment after I said this, I realized that I had passed a test. However, my mind reflected a bit of complacency at that point, and a policeman immediately came to block my progress. Cultivation is a very solemn and serious matter indeed!

The policeman quickly took away my passport to check and see if I was one of the people on the blacklist. I knew what he was doing, so I calmed myself down and sent forth the righteous thought, "those controlled by the evil cannot see my name," and asked Teacher to strengthen my righteous thoughts.

Ten minutes later, the policeman brought my passport back along with several pieces of paper with questions on them that needed to be answered.

He used his broken English to ask me, "Are you practice ---Gong?" I replied, "What? I do not understand what you are talking about." He said, "You are Chinese, haven't you ever heard about Falun Gong?" I replied, "Falun Gong? I heard about it in the United States and heard that there are many people there who practice it. The media reports have said that the Chinese government persecutes a lot of kindhearted Falun Gong practitioners in China. Are you aware that the President of China persecutes millions of his own good people?" He became silent and then asked, "Are you a member of Falun Gong?" I replied, ""Member? I have never heard that Falun Gong has any type of 'membership.'"

Over the next several minutes, he continued to ask more questions. During the entire time, I always answered him with a calm and kind attitude. At the end of our conversation I asked him, "I have noticed that the policeman are questioning any person who looks Chinese. I am also Chinese. Why are you questioning me? What did I do wrong? I am very saddened to see that in your free and democratic country you are doing such things." Upon hearing this, he fell silent and walked away with my passport. I continued to send forth righteous thoughts and asked Teacher to strengthen my thoughts.

After a while he came back. He returned my passport and told me that I could now pass through. I went through and after walking about five meters, he suddenly called behind me to stop. My heart remained very calm, and upon coming up to me he said, "I forgot to stamp your passport."

When he returned my passport I said, "Looking at all those kindhearted faces that you have prevented from entering Iceland, do you feel that you are doing the right thing?" He immediately asked me, "Are you a Falun Gong practitioner?" I did not answer him and walked away from the Customs in an open and righteous manner.

After leaving Customs, I bumped into the American couple had been behind me in line earlier. They said they were very happy to see me and were worried that I might not make it through. I thanked them and said, "They were not qualified to prevent me from entering Iceland."

A while later, a practitioner who was held in Customs told me that she heard a policeman say, "Why is there one person on the list that has not been checked off?"

Some eighteen hours later, the other 26 practitioners who were being held in Customs were also allowed to walk into Iceland openly and nobly.
