Righteous Belief and Righteous Thoughts Helped Me Out of Danger

One day last year, I needed to go to the bus station to pick up a fellow practitioner. After getting out of the door and walking down one flight of stairs, I suddenly remembered the vegetables I needed to take to my mother. So I turned back. Soon after, I heard some people knocking hard on the door; it was the police. If I had not turned back, I would have run into them on the stairs. I knew then that Teacher was looking after me.

The pounding on the door got louder and louder, and they were calling out my name. I pulled open the window and saw one police van and two motorcycles parked by the side of the gate, and a dozen policemen and security personnel as well. I knew in my heart that they could not touch me, since Teacher was taking care of me.

The pounding on the door became even louder. I calmly sent forth righteous thoughts to make the police leave at once. After a while, the pounding on the door stopped. Then, the telephone rang. I knew the police were calling me, so I did not answer. The phone rang another few times, I still did not answer. After a while, the phone rang again. I wanted to answer this one since a fellow practitioner was out there waiting for me. I trusted my own instinct, so I picked up the phone. It was the practitioner. I told her to leave the area immediately as I had problems at my place. Suddenly, I heard a light knocking on the door. I looked through the door peephole, and saw that it was my neighbor. I told her the police were downstairs. So I took a change of clothing and went to her place. Almost immediately, about a dozen policemen returned. They had brought with them the master key to open the door of my home, but found me gone. Under Teacher's protection and with help from my neighbor, I came through unscathed. Three days later, I went about my business without notice.

My neighbor said to me, "I had the nerve to keep you in my place because I knew you were a great person. Everybody in this building knows that you are a good person." Those who come in contact with Dafa disciples all know Dafa disciples are good people. The everyday people who are awakened also would lend us a helping hand even under duress.

I realize whatever that happens around us, "just by having our heart unaffected we will be able to handle all situations" ("Eliminate Your Last Attachment(s)"). Everything is under our control, and it is also within Teacher's arrangements. No matter how rampant the evil may appear it is nothing under the strong, righteous thoughts of Dafa disciples.

As I look back, when I realized that the police had come to get me, the first thought that came to my mind was to take care of the Dafa materials; my second thought was not to let my fellow practitioner who did not know what had happened at my place come to visit me. The third thought was not to cooperate with the evil at all.

During the contest between the righteous and the evil that lasted nearly two hours, it was the righteous belief and righteous thoughts that prevailed, and Teacher was protecting me.
