Another Person Awakens Upon Meeting Dafa Practitioners - "I Want to Shout Out to the World: Falun Gong Practitioners are Truly Good People!"

(Clearwisdom.net) I am an ordinary country-woman, and my only prior knowledge of Falun Gong came from radio and television. I was very critical of Falun Gong, and because of pressure from my workplace I even wrote some articles slandering Falun Gong. But now when I again lift my pen, I shall write, "Falun Gong practitioners are truly good people." Why did my attitude experience such a drastic turnaround?

The following is my story. My husband was sent to a detention center for a minor crime and met an extraordinary person -a Falun Gong practitioner. The Falun Gong practitioner took great care of my husband. He was kind to everyone. After my husband's release, the two became best friends. After my husband told me his story, I only deemed him lucky to meet a good person among Falun Gong practitioners. After two years, my husband brought this friend to our home. He appeared to be a normal person, and didn't seem very different from ordinary people. But after a few days of interaction, my notions experienced a dramatic change. He truly is a good person. Compared with other people in society, he is much more honest and more compassionate. When talking, I don't have to be fearful or embarrassed, and I can say anything I wish. He is much different than the deceitful and quarrelsome people of today's society. Isn't he one of the better people from the few good people of today's materialistic society? If a log is blocking a path, others would walk around it, but he will move the log aside so it won't obstruct others. Ordinary people would call him "foolish," but doesn't today's selfish world need such a compassionate "fool"? Isn't he a symbol of a good person?

Later the practitioner brought over his 19-year-old daughter, who also practices Falun Gong. She doesn't have the obsession with beauty like most girls her age, but yet she is natural and pure. It surprised me that she already has practiced Falun Gong for six years. In the presence of such a down-to-earth girl, my heart and mind felt calm and content. Such compassion and affection cannot be found among her peers. Experiencing their kindness was like living in a paradise that everyone dreams about.

The modern society has been polluted by various bad practices and ideas, so why don't earnest people take a look around and learn from Falun Gong practitioners? They cultivate Zhen-Shan-Ren (Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance) and are the good people among good people. They bring peace and harmony to society, so aren't they good people?

I want to shout out to the world: "Falun Gong practitioners are truly good people!"
