Austria: Practitioners Expose the Three Years of Persecution to the Media (Photos)


(Clearwisdom.net) On July 18, Austrian Dafa practitioners clarified the truth about Jiang Zemin's persecution to the media in a press conference in Vienna. This was two days before Jiang's vicious reign of terror entered its fourth year and the official death toll approached 450.

During the conference, the practitioners described the rapid spread of Dafa since 1992, the persecution of Dafa since July 20, 1999 and the peaceful appeals of Dafa practitioners during these three years. A practitioner from China narrated his personal experience about the cruelty of this suppression in both mental and physical terms, as well as its destruction of his family life. The conference also outlined the pressure that the Jiang regime has put on overseas governments in recent months and the spreading of Jiang's persecution to foreign shores. It called on the media to report the truth of this tyranny and to press for justice.

A representative of the human rights organization "Association for Threatened Peoples" also made a statement in the conference, emphasizing the importance of the voice of justice from people in western countries to speak out against the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners: "Say 'No' firmly to the Chinese power politics and the persecution. The persecution that has lasted three years should be ended!"
