(Clearwisdom.net) When living beings gather together, they naturally form one collective body. Then what is the difference between the "one body" talked about by Dafa disciples and "solidarity" talked about by everyday people? Everyday people talk about "looking at the big picture" and "finding common ground while acknowledging differences." The goal of having such solidarity is to obtain mutual benefits in the materialistic world. It is "forbearance of an everyday person who is attached to his concerns." ("What is Forbearance") In the process, people make no attempt to get rid of their demonic nature. At certain times it becomes difficult to maintain. But the "one body" that cultivators speak of is based on having no attachments at all. It is a seamless fusion achieved only after each person has gradually gotten rid of his or her selfishness and demonic nature, and everyone makes strides toward the Fa with one heart. It is as solid as diamond and everlasting. If everyday people want certain things, they have to pursue it. But cultivation is completely opposite and stresses letting go of things. Once the bad things are let go of, the good things are naturally revealed. Therefore when we speak of Dafa disciples forming one body, in the end it is a question of the realm that we have achieved in our cultivation. Only when we start out with letting go of human attachments, eliminate our notions and attachments, and treat all people and things with compassion, can we successfully solve this problem.
