Police in Taonan City, Jilin Province, Recently Kidnap Several Dafa Practitioners; Disabled Practitioner is Kidnapped Again

(Clearwisdom.net) For over three years now, since July 20, 1999, Falun Dafa has suffered unreasonable persecution. In order to clarify the truth to people, Dafa practitioners are illegally imprisoned, sentenced to forced labor, sentenced to prison, and even tortured to death. People from Taonan City's "610 Office", in Jilin Province, and the police department have on numerous occasions arrested Dafa practitioners. Over forty Dafa practitioners were illegally sentenced to forced labor. To date, most of them are still imprisoned.

On July 28, 2002, the police started a new round of large-scale arrests of Dafa practitioners. This round of arrests was decided upon during a meeting organized by the municipal party committee, police, judicial and law personnel. The meeting was especially organized to discuss brainwashing classes for those practitioners who had not been illegally sentenced to forced labor education and who at the time of the meeting were still at home instead of being imprisoned. Their motive was to force the practitioners to give up practicing Falun Gong. On July 28, police kidnapped eight Dafa practitioners. On July 29, they started to kidnap three other Dafa practitioners. Liu Jinwei, head of the political and security section of the city police department, is the main criminal. He was involved in almost all of the kidnappings and was extremely vicious.

Liu Li is among the kidnapped practitioners. Before she started practicing Falun Gong, she suffered from many kinds of diseases. She is blind in one eye. After practicing Falun Gong, she became healthy. Her blind eye is no longer sinking deep inside her eye-socket like before. Benefiting significantly from Dafa, she could not forget Master's salvation. In order to validate that Dafa is innocent, she went to legally appeal. As a result, the local police framed her many times. At the end of 2000, she was illegally sentenced to one year of forced labor. Because of her partial blindness, Changchun City Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp refused to accept her. The conditions of her punishment were changed to allow her to serve her term outside the labor camp, but she was detained in the detention center. The detention center, though, still did not release her.

After Liu Li went on a hunger strike to protest this unjust treatment, she was released. This time, police officer Liu Jinwei threatened that if the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp refused to take her, they would transfer her to another in the Da'an area. The brainwashing put Liu Li's family under extremely difficult circumstances. The numerous illegal imprisonments resulted in hardship to her three-member family, who have only 200 Yuan [average monthly income in cities of China is about 500 Yuan] monthly income to live on. When Liu Li was kidnapped, she was working at home folding paper for others to earn some money for living expenses. Nevertheless, the police illegally arrested her. Under such severe persecution, she still firmly practices Falun Gong.

We hope that all kind-hearted governments and people will stop the Jiang regime and its accomplices' persecution against the kind Dafa practitioners, and obtain the unconditional release for all of the Dafa practitioners being illegally sentenced and imprisoned. There is nothing wrong in living one's life to be a good person. To assimilate to "Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance" is not a crime.
