Letters of Support for the Falun Gong Practitioners on Trial in Hong Kong (Part V)


To whom it may concern,

My name is Ellen and I have lived in America for 10 years. I love China, and I was happy to see Hong Kong go back to China. However, what the Jiang regime is doing is hurting people. Since Hong Kong's return to China, Hong Kong's economy has gone down year by year, and the freedom of the press has been taken away step by step. Now the independence of law enforcement is in danger. Why were 16 peaceful meditators arrested for blocking the street? Even a child would not believe this. I wonder what will be the next thing Hong Kong's people will lose. Please stand up for Hong Kong's freedom, as it is the only land of freedom in China. We can't afford to lose our only place of freedom. Please release the sixteen Falun Gong practitioners, and let them go home to practice their exercises.

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter from the United States. We have recently heard of this politically motivated trial going on in Hong Kong. I am talking about the one where the Falun Gong practitioners were unlawfully arrested for a peaceful demonstration. I even saw the pictures at this website http://www.faluninfo.net/focus/hongkong.asp . It seems that it is absolutely unacceptable that this trial should continue.

In the name of Truth, Compassion and Forbearance, you must look into your own hearts and know that this trial of the practitioners is wrong. Additionally, you will also know that your once democratic and free system is now being controlled by the government of Mainland China.

More and more every day, we see that Hong Kong and the PRC are truly one! This will not only affect the moral attitude of your country but also the financial aspect. If the Falun Gong Practitioners lose this trial, the world will know that Honk Kong is no longer safe for honest business.

I'm writing from the United States. I'm deeply concerned about the current trial of Falun Gong practitioners. We hope you can pay serious attention to the situation and help dismiss this politically motivated trial. This case is not a normal trial, but the Jiang regime's attempts to silence all voices against his brutal persecution. Hong Kong's good reputation for freedom and democracy is under serious attack.

If the Chinese president, Jiang Zemin, were not persecuting Falun Gong, there would be no need for peaceful appeals. These 16 practitioners stood up for justice for the millions of people in China who face slander, threats, arrest, imprisonment, torture, and even murder every day. Police and law enforcement should uphold justice, help the good, and punish the bad. During the three years' of being persecuted, Falun Gong practitioners have been using non-violent ways to call upon all the kind-hearted people to help end the persecution together. Their peaceful appeal has been recognized and supported by more and more people, organizations and countries.

The whole world is watching. We hope you can uphold justice and help dismiss this trial. This is also to ensure a good future for Hong Kong's citizens and all Chinese people.
