Australia: Lotus Flower Gifts at a Market in Canberra Impress People with the Goodness of Dafa

On Sunday August 11, practitioners in Canberra, Australia's capital city, visited another local market to give people paper lotus flowers and tell them about Falun Dafa. Unlike the market a week ago, one of the conditions for being at the market was that we not be seen as political. For this reason, we did not talk about the persecution in China unless the people we were talking to brought it up. People were still able to learn about all the good things of Falun Dafa from this approach. We feel that by giving people a positive impression of Dafa, they will make the correct judgment when they find out about the persecution from other sources.

The market was outdoors and the conditions were very windy and less comfortable than last week, making the environment more difficult to approach people. However, we still saw many smiles, and people were surprised and happy to receive the flowers.

There were three young girls between the ages of 7 and 11 who were very interested in learning the exercises and spending time with us. Their parents were happy to let us teach them the exercises, and we gave one of them a copy of Zhuan Falun.

Once again, the environment allowed a large number of people to see for themselves the conduct of Dafa practitioners. We gave away about two hundred lotus flowers during the day.

The practitioners here in Canberra all agree that this activity is very effective for truth clarification. It is also a lot of hard work making so many lotus flowers. However, in the broadest sense, the time taken to produce one lotus flower is an inconceivably small price to pay to save a persons future by establishing a strong positive impression of Dafa.
