Hong Kong Falun Gong Practitioners File Appeal Based on Police's False Accusations (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) In the case of the 16 Falun Gong practitioners being charged with "obstructing traffic" and "assaulting police" while they peacefully held a sit-in appeal outside of the China Liaison Office in Hong Kong, the Magistrate Symon Wong found the practitioners guilty of all seven charges and fined them. The sixteen practitioners were also notified that regardless of whether they wanted to appeal, they had to pay the fine and go through fingerprinting. The practitioners understood that we couldn't recognize or accept the evil persecution. We should understand the case from the view point of Fa-rectification and handle things with clearheadedness. So on the next day, the practitioners went to the police station to clarify the truth to the policemen patiently and compassionately. In the end, the police agreed to cancel the fingerprinting.

The sixteen practitioners handed in the appeal documents and requested to waive the fines on August 19. Only a few hours later, a magistrate rejected the request and told the practitioners to pay the fine before 5 p.m. Facing this situation, the practitioners immediately held a two-hour-long press conference with many media members present. During the press conference, the practitioners showed the videotape, which clearly showed that the accusation of the policewoman being bitten was completely groundless.

Falun Gong practitioners clarify the truth at the press conference on August 19, 2002

On August 20, a group of practitioners continue to practice the exercises and send forth righteous thoughts facing the Chinese Liaison Office in Hong Kong

Video screenshots: Truth of the so-called "Biting Police" and "Assaulting Police"

The following attached screenshots clipped from the video footage provided by Hong Kong police to the court clearly showed that the so-called "bite" was a false accusation. In the court, the magistrate affirmed that the Hong Kong police recorded all of the defendants' actions. Just like CCTV exposed their evil plot in the staged "Tiananmen Immolation," the Hong Kong police's own "evidence" exposed the truth of the false accusation to the public.

"Biting Police"

Clip 3-4 : A policewoman's left hand grabbed a practitioner's (Zhou Sheng) neck. The outside of her left arm was under Lu Jie's chin. The arm was moving and Lu Jie's mouth was shut. There was no sign of an open mouth or any biting.

Clip 6 - 9: This policewoman withdrew her arm and pointed to the inside of her arm and shouted, "She bit me, she bit me!" This was not the part of the arm that was under Lu Jie's chin. The magistrate said that the policewoman "definitely won't be wrong" but she simply didn't know where she was "bit."

Facing the false accusation at the scene, practitioner Lu Jie immediately replied, "I didn't bite you. I pressed down on your arm. I didn't bite. You can't do this to us. This causes a lot of pain!" In fact, the policemen used acupressure to cause great pain to the practitioners. Lu Jie only pressed down on the policewoman's arm with her chin.

"Assaulting Police"

From video footage provided by police, we can see that the elderly lady Liu Yuling was carried away by four to five policewomen. Her arms and legs were firmly grabbed by the policewomen. At the time, she could hardly even breathe. In order to steady herself, she grabbed a policewoman's uniform on the shoulder. How could an elderly lady being restricted by so many policewomen said to have "assaulted police"?
