(Clearwisdom.net) During the process of clarifying the truth, we may occasionally meet people who have been deeply deceived by the propaganda in China. Even so, we cannot easily give up on them. We should be compassionate to them and "validate the Fa with rationality, clarify the truth with wisdom, spread the Fa and save people with mercy". (Teacher's article "Rationality" from Essentials for Further Advancement II).

I know an elderly lady who was severely deceived by the propaganda, so I gave her a truth clarifying brochure and VCD. She told me later that she did not read or watch the materials because she believes what she sees on television. I told her that the reports on television are used to deceive everyone and pointed out a few suspicious aspects of the "self-immolation" report on the news. However, due to the poison that the news reports continued to release, as soon as she understood a little of the truth, she was once again confused and deceived by what she saw on television. She said once again, "I only believe in the media." From then on, she refused to listen or look at any of the truth clarifying materials that I gave her and would sometimes say disrespectful things about Falun Dafa. I started to become disappointed.

Later, I received a few booklets, which told a story about a practitioner who used his righteous thoughts to dissolve difficulties before and after obtaining Falun Dafa. I was very happy and said, "If even the most stubborn person can read this booklet from the beginning to the end with a calm mind, they are bound to change their attitude." I let my mother deliver the booklet to that elderly lady because they are of similar age and get along, while I sent forth righteous thoughts to help her.

As soon as my mother walked into her house, she gave the booklet to her. That lady took it and quickly flipped through it, saying, "Falun Gong stuff. I will NOT read this." My mother suddenly thought of a good idea and said, "Everyone can't wait to read it, and I'm giving these to you first. But since you are so picky about reading it, I'll take it and give it to someone else." The lady quickly said, "I will read it, I will read it." She started to read the booklet properly from beginning to the end.

Later, she gave the booklet back to me and said, "I finished reading it!" I smiled and took the booklet from her. There was no need to ask. Her expression told me that she finally understood the truth about Falun Dafa. From then on, she never slandered Dafa again.

Recently, the doctors discovered a tumor in my uncle's chest. My mother, older aunt and I went to visit him. My uncle has read Zhuan Falun before the persecution, but due to human mentalities and propaganda from the media, he slanders Dafa and Teacher. We gave him some truth clarifying materials and a VCD. His whole family watched it except for him. He also forbids my younger aunt to see other Falun Dafa practitioners.

My older aunt told him about how she contracted a heart disease and how she recovered. She then told him about another experience: a few months ago, another practitioner and his wife went to her house to visit. She had been severely deceived by media propaganda and had once torn up Teacher's book and picture. Recently, doctors discovered a tumor in her womb. This practitioner tried desperately to clarify the truth to her, and he remembered my older aunt. He took his wife to her house and my aunt let her watch the truth clarifying VCD. Suddenly that practitioner's wife understood everything, and when they went to the hospital for a recheck, to their surprise, the tumor in her womb had disappeared!

After listening to this account my uncle had no reaction at all. I said to him, "Uncle, look how uncomfortable it is to be sick. You can't eat, and even if you have money to buy medicine, you still have to suffer. Treasuring Dafa is the same as treasuring your life. Falun Dafa tells you to follow Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. There's nothing wrong with that."

My uncle changed his attitude a little bit after listening to all of us. At lunchtime, after finishing a bowl of noodles, my uncle suddenly said, "I have benefited. It's funny that I feel hungry today. I have to have another bowl." My older aunt smiled and said, "There are four practitioners sitting with you, having lunch; of course you will benefit." After lunch, we asked him if he would like to watch the VCD. He did not refuse. As he was watching, he was repeating the names of the different countries that practice Falun Dafa around the world.

We are extremely happy because another being has been saved from the claws of evil. The King of Buddhas is so compassionate. He is giving a chance to every person who has been deceived by the media. Teacher, with immense forbearance, compassion and benevolence, has endured so much for all sentient beings.
