By a Dafa practitioner in China

(Clearwisdom.net) "As you know, the persecution that Dafa disciples in Mainland China suffer is quite severe, so each student has to truly, clearly realize what his responsibility is, and when he sends forth righteous thoughts he has to be able to truly calm his mind and truly produce the effect of righteous thoughts. So this is something extremely critical, extremely important. Then if every student is able to do that, I can tell you, with five minutes of sending forth righteous thoughts together, the evil in the Three Realms will never exist again--that's how important this is." ("Fa-Lecture at the Conference in Florida, U.S.A")

In this paragraph of the Fa, Master told us and reminded us repeatedly, "So this is something extremely critical, extremely important," "that's how important this is." ("Fa-Lecture at the Conference in Florida, U.S.A") Just the emphasized words alone are enough to show the importance of this paragraph of the Fa. What's the most important requirement of us in what was said here? Before, I personally thought it was to "calm his mind." Only by calming our minds can we truly use the power of righteous thoughts and eliminate the evil. However, through recent exchanges with fellow practitioners who emphasized repeatedly the "whole," I suddenly realized that calming one's mind is only the requirement for our individual Dafa practitioners; as for all of us as a whole, the most important thing is "sending forth righteous thoughts together."

From what I understand, "together" does not have to mean that we do something at the same time; all of us placing it at a high priority is also included in "together." Only by doing so can we achieve the purpose of completely eliminating the evil within the Three Realms. Otherwise, even if we can calm down and send forth the purest and most determined righteous thoughts, as long as there are some practitioners who do not place a high priority on sending forth righteous thoughts, then the evil would have a hiding place and they would hide in the dimensions of those Dafa practitioners who do not send forth righteous thoughts. If all practitioners can calm down and constantly send forth powerful righteous thoughts, then the evil will be eliminated in large numbers in other dimensions until they are completely wiped out.

From this paragraph of the Fa, we know that the opportunity to completely eliminate the evil lies in sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil by all Dafa practitioners around the world. This is also a requirement for us. Since "this Fa-rectification task exists at different levels," ("Teaching the Fa at the 2001 Canada Fa Conference," Guiding the Voyage) if we fail to do this, then it would mean that we Dafa practitioners in the human world did not complete our missions, and all of us as a whole did not reach the standard. This is a great mission bestowed upon us by history. Each of us has great responsibilities, but the responsibilities we shoulder as a whole body are even greater!

The Fa can do anything and everything. Master also said, "if a cultivator can't eliminate it, Gods - including higher Gods - also need to take part in eliminating it." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2001 Canada Fa Conference," Guiding the Voyage) My understanding is that it is not because we cannot eliminate it, nor is it because we do not have the ability to do so. It is because we did not do well! After enlightening to this, I could not allow myself to miss the five-minutes of sending forth righteous thoughts as a group for any reason. I cannot allow this disgrace of ages to be placed upon me. When Dafa practitioners around the world send forth righteous thoughts together, it is always more important than individually sending forth of righteous thoughts at other times.

Some practitioners may say that sometimes they can calm down but at other times they cannot. There might be quite a few practitioners who are still in this state. Even if all Dafa practitioners achieved the superficial "togetherness," it does not serve the purpose of actually sending forth righteous thoughts "together." However, I believe that even if there is only one minute, half a minute, or even only several seconds when all of our xinxing reach the standard, although we cannot achieve the purpose of eliminating all the evil within the Three Realms, it is still a devastating blow to the evil. Isn't that also effectively eliminating the evil? Isn't this also a rare opportunity?

To take a step back, during our regular sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil, even if practitioners in only one area, several areas or even more areas have reached their xinxing standard, the evil in those areas would be completely eliminated. During the time when the evil has not yet replenished itself, many of the incarcerated fellow practitioners in those areas would be able to walk out of prison, and a great number of people in those areas would also learn about the truth. If those areas were able to achieve such results many times, then would the evil still dare to replenish those areas? Would it still dare to persecute Dafa practitioners in those areas? The old forces can see this as well, and this is exactly what they fear most. Therefore they do everything they can to interfere with our sending forth of righteous thoughts. Of course, we have to do well in studying the Fa, clarifying truth and sending forth righteous thoughts. These three things are in fact one whole body.

"You need to eliminate the external ones, which are directly related to the dimensions you're in. If you don't eliminate them, then they not only persecute you and restrain you, but also persecute other students, other Dafa disciples." ("Fa-Lecture at the Conference in Florida, U.S.A")

Master has already confirmed in the Fa that every one of us has supernormal abilities, and each time we send forth righteous thoughts, a certain amount of evil would be eliminated. The more we send forth righteous thoughts, the more evil we would eliminate. Every Dafa disciple has his or her responsibilities in eliminating the evil; otherwise the evil that should have been eliminated would continue to exist. Wouldn't that be as bad as nourishing the evil? Furthermore, these evil beings not only persecute and suppress you, but they also persecute fellow practitioners. I used to hear fellow practitioners say that those practitioners who did not do well were partly accountable for the more severe persecution that their fellow practitioners suffered, which makes a lot of sense.

On the other hand, even if you are doing pretty well, you still have to consider the whole body of Dafa practitioners. When you shed tears for those fellow practitioners who are suffering brutal persecution, when you are worried about the situation where fellow practitioners are being constantly arrested and are forcibly sent into brainwashing classes, when you feel helpless when fellow practitioners around you have been arrested due to carelessness, please remember that you are not powerless and you do have the ability to help them. If you look at things from the perspective of the whole body and truly play your role well, then perhaps many of such things would not have happened. "Maybe, a single righteous thought will eradicate a part of the evil force that prevents people from obtaining the truth, or will end the persecution of a fellow practitioner, or protect Dafa disciples delivering materials and clarifying the truth, allowing them to safely return home." Do not doubt our abilities simply because they do not manifest in the surface dimension, and do not slack off our efforts simply because we cannot see the effect of our sending forth righteous thoughts. If we could all see the actual manifestation of the power of our righteous thoughts, I believe that then we could all do well. However, if when we cannot see anything but we still do well based on our firm faith in the Fa and on our understanding of the Fa, then that is truly remarkable and truly magnificent.

"Since how well each person does in the process of his cultivation, his improvement, and his understanding, and how well he does in the Fa-rectification is directly related to his own cultivation, and also directly related to the level he has elevated to, Master cannot require too much of you. I'm only telling you its importance. How far a person wants to cultivate to and what realm a person wants to reach are his own business. Master can only tell you the importance of sending forth righteous thoughts." ("Fa-Lecture at the Conference in Florida, U.S.A.")

Our cultivation is connected to the Fa-rectification, and therefore our cultivation plays a direct role in how well we do in the process of Fa-rectification, and in how much effort we put in Fa-rectification. "We have to eliminate the evil things, period, because they damage the cosmos and damage sentient beings. In other words, without these evil things there would be no need for Fa-rectification." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2001 Canada Fa Conference," Guiding the Voyage)

Through Fa-study, I have come to the understanding that Fa-rectification to a certain extent means to eliminate all the evils that damage the universe and sentient beings. This clearly defines the importance of eliminating the evil in our Fa-rectification cultivation. That's why Master said in "Fa-Lecture at the Conference in Florida, U.S.A.," "How far a person wants to cultivate to and what realm a person wants to reach are his own business. Master can only tell you the importance of sending forth righteous thoughts." I feel it's clear that Master is telling us the importance of sending forth righteous thoughts to our personal improvement. I remember that some practitioners mentioned in their sharing that when they sent forth righteous thoughts, they saw through their celestial eye that their gong grew incredibly quickly. Master has created the best for us all!
