Clarifying the Facts: Bringing a Bright Future to the People of Iceland

(Clearwisdom.net) It has been over ten weeks since some individuals in the Icelandic government issued an order to ban Falun Gong practitioners from entering the country, yet there has not been noticeable progress in Fa-rectification in Iceland. The people there are still waiting to learn the truth, and the government has not shown much sign [of an apology] either. As a democratic country, the government is elected by the people and therefore the government has a thousand and one karmic relationships with its people. If the government makes mistakes, especially if the mistakes are made against Dafa, then if the government does not rectify and make up for its mistakes in time, it will bring about a gloomy shadow to the future and life of the Icelandic people.

However, to date, the Icelandic government and its people still have not learned the truth about Falun Gong, and they have not yet broken away from the arrangements of the old forces. This is a grim reality.

Master pointed out, "In fact, this persecution is entirely an unprecedented evil test of Dafa disciples that was arranged by the old forces. And they don't let the evil beings that are being used know the true situation--they are truly doing damage." (Touring North America to Teach the Fa, un-official translation) Master also said in the same lecture, "As for those who've gone to the opposite side during this persecution or even done awful things, let me tell you that Master still doesn't want to abandon them."

In order to bring the Icelandic people a bright and beautiful future, and to be responsible to the Icelandic government and the people, some Falun Gong practitioners formed a dialogue committee, asking the Icelandic government for an effective, honest and sincere dialogue, so that a common understanding could be achieved through comprehensive truth-clarification. It is hoped that the Icelandic government will, through taking corresponding measures, make up for the karmic debt owed to Dafa and the innocent Icelandic people due to some individuals' wrong doing in the name of the government.

Falun Gong, while being persecuted themselves, still have the interest of Iceland at heart. This compassionate gesture from Falun Gong has moved the Icelandic people. On August 22, the Icelandic media reported, "Falun Gong is back again!" as if they had again seen brightness and hope in the gloomy shadow.

In the last two odd months, Falun Gong practitioners have through various means explained to the Icelandic people and their government the unprecedented persecution of Falun Gong by Jiang Zemin's regime and the reason why we wanted to go to Iceland. However, in terms of both degree and scope, our truth-clarification work is still far away from the requirements of Fa-rectification: "Clarifying the truth is what we need to do at this time. Do it on a large scale, do it with all the wisdom that you can, and as long as something can save the people, go do it. It doesn't matter if what you do is expose the evil, or if you use all sorts of approaches, be they direct, indirect or from different angles--as long as you can have people recognize this persecution, you are saving them, and you are extraordinary." ("Fa-Lecture at the Conference in Florida, U.S.A.")

From the truth-clarification experience in Hong Kong, we can see that even though it was not until the beginning of August that we realized the importance of improving as a whole body and clarifying the facts together around the world, practitioners in Hong Kong and around the world have elevated together within a very short period of time in their understanding of the Fa and in their actions. It is just like what Master said in his new article, "As Dafa disciples tell people the facts, It's like sharp swords shooting out together from their mouths." ("Hurry Up And Tell Them")

At present, overseas Falun Gong practitioners, especially those who went to Iceland, should make the best use of time to clarify the facts to the Icelandic government, the Icelandic embassies and consulates in various countries and the Icelandic people as well as all governments in the world through various channels with broad thinking and with the side that we have cultivated, and to eliminate the evil with righteous thoughts, so that during the process of us achieving a smooth dialogue with the Iceland government, the Icelandic people, in the face of facts, will be able to contribute their due effort for the future of themselves and for their nation.
