Rocky Mountain News, Colorado: Falun Gong devotees laud passage of bill
Vivian Lam August 20, 2002 Letters to the Editorá Falun Gong of Colorado would like to report the unanimous passage of HR 188
on July 24, which calls on Jiang Zemin's regime to cease the persecution of
Falun Gong in China. Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is an ancient practice for mind and
body, originating in prehistoric China. The practice involves some slow,
gentle movements and mediation. It is easy to learn, enjoyable to practice,
and free of charge. A central component of Falun Gong practice is studying the
universal principles of truthfulness, compassion and tolerance. Many people find that the benefits of Falun Gong are simply too good to be
kept to themselves. Thus, almost entirely through word of mouth, Falun Gong
has spread and attracted more than 100 million people from more than 60
countries within the last 10 years. Falun Gong would like to thank all of Colorado's congressional
representatives who voted for HR 188. We are especially grateful to Reps. Tom Tancredo and Mark Udall for
presenting supportive statements at the Washington, D.C., Falun Gong rally on
July 23. We are calling on all kindhearted people to voice their concerns over the
brutal persecution of Falun Gong. Vivian Lam |
