Letter to The New Zealand Herald Concerning the Removal of Falun Gong Posters In Auckland Airport and Christchurch Bus Shelters
Dear Editors,
It is sad to see Jiang Zemin's regime's propagandameisters hoodwink more
unsuspecting victims.á Those who made the decisions to remove posters
containing positive messages about Falun Gong in the Auckland airport and
Christchurch bus shelters could only have done so under pressure and
without knowing all the facts.
Had those decision-makers known the full situation in China, they might
have been content to leave standing advertisements with this
message:á "Jiang Zemin: Dictator, Torturer, Murderer."á This
was not how
Falun Gong practitioners in New Zealand chose to educate the public,
however, even though Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, the Wall
Street Journal, the U.S. Congress, and others could corroborate such a
description as accurate.
Instead, Falun Gong practitioners in New Zealand have responded to a most
brutal and systematic persecution campaign in a constructive, positive
fashion. "Falun Dafa is Good" and "Truthfulness, Compassion,
Forbearance"
-- these are messages of hope and peace.
Such expressions of a positive nature should be welcomed and encouraged by
community and business leaders worldwide. Truth is a bright light that
sends those with dark minds and shady motives scuttling away.á Bring the
posters back to spread the light.
