Wang Baoxian, from Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, Tortured to Death at the Fuyu County Detention Center
(Clearwisdom.net) Wang Baoxian was a cadre at the Qiqihar City Railway
Vehicle Factory in Heilongjiang Province. Having benefited tremendously from the
practice of Dafa, he always said good things about Dafa, even after the
persecution started. Because he was determined in practicing Dafa, he was
illegally sentenced to 3 years in a labor camp. While he was detained in the
Nianzishan Railway Labor Camp, he was subjected to various inhumane tortures. Later Wang Baoxian was transferred to the 4th brigade of the Fuyu
Labor Camp where he kept firmly cultivating Dafa. He never gave in no matter how
the captain, Jia Weijun, coerced him to give up his belief in Dafa. In March
2000, a fellow practitioner was tortured and Wang Baoxian tried to stop the
torture. As a result, he was brutally beaten and his term was extended for half
a year. In June 2000, he, along with some practitioners (including Zhang
Xiaochun, who was later tortured to death), went on a hunger strike to request
unconditional release. However, they were cursed and beaten by the police. Later
they were sent to the Fuyu Detention Center, where they again were often cursed
and beaten by the police. However, they still firmly believed in Dafa. The
police tried to instigate the prisoners who lived in the same cell as Wang
Baoxian to beat him, and said, "It's fine so long as he's not beaten to death.
I'll bear the responsibility should anything happen to him." But the prisoners
did not listen to the police. So the police transferred Wang Baoxian to a
different cell. The cell head Gao Delin followed the police, and asked the
prisoners to beat Wang Baoxian. When Wang Baoxian reported to the police, the
police beat him viciously until his nose bled profusely. Gao Delin did not allow
Wang Baoxian to drink any water, nor did he allow him to relieve himself.
Otherwise, he would be beaten. As a result, Wang Baoxian died in mid-August of
2002. Posting date: 8/30/2002
