Attempting to Frame Falun Gong, Officials in Yushu City, Jilin Province Insert a Dafa Card into a Flower Bouquet Sprayed with Toxic Chemicals

(Clearwisdom.net) Authorities from various schools in Yushu City announced recently that no students were permitted to practice Falun Gong or come into contact with any Falun Gong materials. As part of their plan to frame up practitioners, they even made a big show about posting security guards at school entrances specifically to prohibit any Falun Gong practitioners from entering.

The principal of Yushu City Second Primary School even lied by saying that students in grades one through three needed to be delivered to school and picked up by their parents, because, he dramatically exclaimed, "Falun Gong practitioners were going to bomb the school, and the children's lives were in danger."

In early July 2002, some vicious persons in Yushu City placed a picture, which they had found in some Dafa materials, in a big bouquet of flowers that were sprayed with toxic chemicals. The flowers ended up in a primary school in the countryside of Liujia Township. Some innocent children touched the flowers and became sick, suffering varying degrees of illness from the unknown toxic substance. The most serious symptom was uncontrollable shivering. More than one hundred people, including teachers and parents, had to go to the Yushu City hospital; more then ten had to be admitted for further observation.

Furthermore, the poisonous substance could not be identified locally and was thus sent to labs in Changchun City. The news reached the Changchun police authorities, who sent seven carloads of related personnel to investigate the matter. The officials found it impossible to blame this on Falun Gong. They found those who perpetrated this to have gone way over the line and reprimanded them. It seems that there are officials in China who still have a conscience, and there is a limit to how much people are willing to tolerate. It's also incredibly sad to see the lengths to which a small number of Jiang's followers would go in order to slander Falun Gong--and the most unfortunate thing is that young children were hurt by their clumsy plot.

But these lawless people were still unwilling to let the matter rest. They continued to widely spread rumors and attempted to stop people from reading Dafa materials. They even required the schools to make announcements to the students not to pick up anything. These deceived people were afraid that local citizens would get to know the true facts about Falun Gong--that's why they resorted to placing the card with the words "Falun Dafa is good" on one side and a picture of a lotus flower on the other, inside a bouquet of flowers sprayed with chemicals. They were obviously trying to make people believe that all Dafa materials were contaminated with poison, so that people would be afraid to pick them up and read them. When people heard about this, most of them saw that it was an attempt to frame Falun Gong. Now, people have become rational and curious, asking why the authorities are so afraid of letting them read the Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials. They are saying, "We must see for ourselves!" In the end, the number of people who read the truth about Falun Gong had not diminished at all.
