(Clearwisdom.net) On Thursday morning, August 22, the "Hong Kong Culture and Art Festival" was held in front of the Sydney Museum of Contemporary Art, opposite the world famous Opera House. The Chief Secretary for Administration of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Donald Tsang Yam-kuen attended the opening ceremony. Other government officials present included the mayor of Sydney, senators from the State of New South Wales and others. Sydney Falun Dafa practitioners made use of this chance and clarified the facts to the attendees, the media and government officials from Sydney. They exposed the recent sham trial against Falun Gong practitioners and the unjust judgement in Hong Kong. Practitioners also delivered an appeal letter to Donald Tsang Yam-kuen.

Near the ceremony, Dafa practitioners unfurled big eye-catching banners with the characters "Together We End the Persecution Against Falun Gong," "Restore the Justice of Hong Kong Judicature." Several practitioners held the truth-clarifying display boards and the boards showing the truth of this Hong Kong political trial. Some practitioners sat neatly and meditated beside the banners, and continuously sent forth righteous thoughts.

At 11:30 a.m., a representative from the Dafa practitioners delivered their open letter to Donald Tsang Yam-kuen. The letter was accepted by a representative of the Australian government who attended the ceremony and would pass it on to the Chief Secretary. A reporter from Reuters photographed and witnessed the whole process of delivering the letter.

The striking banners and truth-clarifying display boards attracted the attention of many attendees and passers-by. People took many photos. They stopped to watch and ask what was happening, as they were deeply concerned. After quietly listening to a practitioner explaining the full story of the Hong Kong political trial and the unjust judgment, a lady was extremely shocked and kept saying, "Jiang Zemin's regime in China is too awful! Too evil!"

Dafa practitioner Dai Zhizhen was interviewed by the media, and she clarified the facts to the attendees about how her husband was tortured to death in China. She also exposed the persecution against her family members. More and more people have become aware of the facts about Dafa, and the persecution against Dafa practitioners.

Reuters, AFP, and several Chinese news agencies in Sydney came and conducted interviews and video recordings.
