(Clearwisdom.net) Hewan Forced Labor Camp in Wuhan City, Hubei Province is one of the so-called "Nation's Virtuous Forced Labor Camps." But in fact, the camp "nicely re-educates" Falun Gong practitioners through the means of brutal mental and physical torture.

The practitioners who didn't want to denounce their belief in Falun Gong in the eighth team of Hewan Forced Labor Camp were individually locked in rooms with the windows and doors tightly shut. Every one of them was placed under close surveillance by two criminals. They were denied any outside communication. The camp shamelessly called this type of treatment "private suite." The camp tried to brainwash the practitioners by forcing them listen to its "lectures" all day long, which are full of lies and slander. They utilized all means and threats of endless torture, trying to force the practitioners to give up their cultivation. Female practitioner Lei Zuying was locked up in the "private suite" for eight months. Some practitioners were tortured to the point of mental breakdown. But still there are determined practitioners who put down human attachments and face the inhuman torture with righteous thoughts and got themselves out from the room. Even now, there are still some practitioners (the exact number is unclear) being detained in these rooms, suffering from brutal torture.

In the camp, practitioners were forced to do difficult labor from eight in the morning to nine in the evening. To protest this illegal treatment, a practitioner refused to squat down during the headcount in the evening. The disciplinary guard then ordered the criminals to push the practitioner down to the ground.

The "Law Education Class" in Wuhan City was an anti-Falun Gong brainwashing class that savagely tortured practitioners. Some time before the class was shut down on July 7, determined practitioners in Hewan Forced Labor Camp were sent to the class. The practitioners were Peng Weisheng (the father of practitioner Peng Min, who was tortured to death by the authorities for practicing Falun Gong), Lei Zuying, Li Hongfang, Tang Yuenan and Zhou Rufen. The practitioners were denied of sleep 24 hours a day. They took four shifts to continuously lecture the practitioners with vicious slanders against Falun Gong. Practitioners were not allowed to close their eyes, otherwise they would be tortured. Under cruel mental and physical torture, one practitioner was having a mental breakdown. The shortest period of such torture lasted for three to five days, while the longest would be fifteen days. On July 7, when the class was shut down, female practitioner Li Yanwen, who insisted on practicing Falun Gong, was secretly transferred. There is no information on her whereabouts.

The second team of Hewan Forced Labor Camp is the place where male practitioners are tortured. On July 10, practitioner Liu Wenpin went on a hunger strike to protest the brainwashing. On the seventh day of his hunger strike, the police from the "610 Office" force-fed him with hot pepper water, which caused terrible pain for him. Practitioner Chen Yangchun from Wuhan City (resident of Wangjiatun, Hanyang) was illegally detained in the camp. He is on the verge of death.

We hope people can pay close attention to the practitioners' situation in the camps and stop the persecution together.
