Eyewitness Account of the Death of Falun Gong Practitioner Zang Dianlong in Acheng City, Heilongjiang Province as a Result of the Police's Actions

share some words written by a fellow practitioner in China as an editor's note:
"I know that many practitioners have endured enormous physical suffering
for the sake of validating Dafa with unshakable determination; there are also
many practitioners whose lives have even been taken away by the evil
persecution. I really feel that they are truly great. One practitioner said,
"At the worst, I'll just give away this flesh body. Letting go of this
body, my spirit shall never deviate from Dafa, even if I die!" I felt that
Dafa practitioners were truly great; yet there was some human notion in these
words, the notion of human heroism. Why should we be prepared to let go of our
body? Who would be the happiest upon seeing all Dafa practitioners leave this
dimension? Perhaps the old evil forces would. With such an understanding, I knew
what I should do - use the most determined righteous thoughts to eliminate the
evil forces' arrangements and never allow the evil forces to take away our

At around 7 p.m. on July 8, 2002, many police and people gathered in front of
No. 6 Building in the Qingzhen Resident Compound in Acheng City, Heilongjiang
Province. Among the many cars, "110" and "120" emergency
rescue vehicles stood out. There were also fire engines and people with video
cameras. Everyone focused on a middle-aged man who stood on the balcony of
apartment 603, unit 4.
This man was telling his story to the people gathered downstairs: he was a
resident of Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province. He was placed under watch
and arrested by local police because he practiced Falun Gong. The police even
put out a reward of 30,000 Yuan [about 6 years average income in urban China]
for his capture and 20,000 Yuan for his wife's capture. In order to avoid
persecution by the evil, he moved to Acheng City and temporarily lived in the
Qingzhen Resident Compound. However, he was deprived of his human rights as a
citizen in Acheng City as well, as his wife was arrested and his two children
expelled by their school because they practiced Falun Gong. And now, he and his
children were being illegally arrested by the police. This man said on the
balcony that he would rather die than be taken away by the police.
The sky turned dark during the deadlock. This man's two children stuck their
heads out of the window and shouted, "Aunts and uncles, we are being
persecuted. Falun Dafa is good. Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa. Restore our
Master's reputation!" The police downstairs also said to the crowd,
"Did you all hear that? Even their children practice it!"
Many police and hired workers climbed on top of No. 6 building. Four hired
workers downstairs stretched out a net about approximately one square meter in
area, and they walked around with it with a token effort [The net is too
small to catch a person] to show to the surrounding people that they were
ready to save this man.
The police kept provoking this man with insults. Seeing that the police were
so completely without conscience, the crowd began to comment. One person said
boldly, "He is just a practitioner. He is going to jump off the building
because you are arresting him. He won't jump if you leave. Why do you force him
to jump? Leave him alone and let him practice if he wants to." The police
yelled at this person, "What are you? Are you also a practitioner?"
This man said, "No, I'm not. I'm just talking about this incident."
The police said with hostility, "This is none of your business. Keep your
distance and go home!"
People who saw clearly what was going on said, "They are forcing him to
jump, and they are even videotaping it! Tomorrow the television program will
again say something like: Falun Gong practitioner committed suicide by jumping
off a building to reach Consummation. They would not say that they forced him to
jump. Now it seems the 'Tiananmen Self-immolation' was directed and staged this
way. We really can't believe what the television programs say, they're full of
slander and lies."
More and more people gathered and more police got on top of the building. It
looked like the police would not give up until they arrested the man or forced
him to jump off. Eventually, the police climbed into the man's balcony through
the balcony upstairs (apartment 703) and opened his door, and many policemen
rushed in. A child in the room shouted, "Dad, run, quick! The police are
coming in!"
A tragedy took place in front of almost 1,000 people. As this man leapt
forward and jumped off the building, the whole incident turned into a deadly
tragedy. There was a loud "bang" followed by the man falling onto the
ground, his blood forming a large pool. He hit a hired worker on his way to the
ground and this worker also fell. People could not believe their eyes that the
police forced a good man to jump to his death. This man was alive only a couple
of seconds ago.
This man's body was taken away by a truck after it was left on ground
unattended for over ten minutes, and his two young children were in great sorrow
and were pulled into a police car, and their whereabouts are unknown. The crowd
did not leave for a long time. The whole incident lasted two hours.
It was learned that the hired worker who was hit was seriously injured. His
family members talked to the police and requested that the police pay for his
medical bill. The police's answer was, "We paid 30 Yuan to hire him, so
we're not responsible for any accidents."
This illegal arrest was a cooperative action among the police in Harbin City,
Shuangcheng City and Acheng City. The death of this man is another piece of
evidence of the brutal persecution.
Right before this article was about to be sent out, another man named Li
Hongbin, who lived in a residential building belonging to Acheng City Brewery
and who was twice sent to forced labor camp because he practiced Falun Gong,
died from force-feeding in Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp during his hunger strike
to protest the illegal detention. He was only 43 years old. Within a short
period of nine months, Acheng City has witnessed three verified deaths of Dafa
practitioners as a result of the brutal persecution by Jiang's regime.
According to sources within the police, Zang Dianlong's wife Xu Yongqin and their two sons (15-year-old Zang Haoran and
13-year-old Zang Haotong) are presently imprisoned in the Shuangchang City
