Creating the Best Effect When Clarifying the Truth

Clarifying the truth and assisting our Teacher in this human world is the responsibility and honor of Falun Dafa practitioners during the Fa-rectification period. While broadly clarifying the truth, because of certain attachments, we sometimes only pay attention to outward speech. At those times, we fail to check whether or not our hearts are rooted in the Fa. Also, we sometimes do not fully examine whether the methods we choose will create the most beneficial effect.

Recently, at inappropriate times, some practitioners were talking to non-practitioners about the evil persecution. Although they were stating truthful facts and their intent was to clarify the truth, due to the inappropriateness of the occasion, the listeners were reluctant to embrace the truth. Wishing more predestined people to know the truth is noble, but if the wish is too strong, it will form another attachment --an attachment of pursuit or of "accomplishment." Then, we might displace our first priority of clarifying the truth with our own wishes, bypassing the aim of our truth-clarification efforts.

Sometimes we focused only on the outer form of truth-clarification and we tried to convince ourselves that we were steadfastly protecting the Fa. We did not examine whether or not our actions were based on real compassion for those sentient beings whose minds had been poisoned. This is an attachment to oneself. When the non-practitioners temporarily do not want to listen, practitioners can easily display the attachment of competition due to loopholes in their hearts and minds. And when truth-clarification efforts do go smoothly, practitioners can easily fall into the attachment of zealotry. When we are not calm and stable, clarifying the truth may take longer, or we might even end up giving people a negative impression of Falun Dafa.

When we interact kindly and peacefully with various people, we are representing the wonderfulness of Falun Dafa. When our righteous thoughts are strong, we will find appropriate chances to clarify the truth. When we embrace the Fa-rectification at the onset of our efforts, the field of compassion and righteousness will be very powerful.

The aim of our clarifying the truth is to enable people to become clear and to form righteous thoughts. When we are not tactful, we are being disrespectful to the Fa's manifestation in this human world. When we do Fa-rectification work with loopholes in our Xinxing [heart and mind nature; moral character], we provide the evil forces with doorways to exploit us (Of course, we must totally deny the interference). When we are not vigilant, people may misunderstand us, endangering their own futures; we may also bring other damage to Dafa.

Therefore, in any situation, we should place the principles of Truthfulness Compassion and Forbearance first, disciplining ourselves according to the standards of Falun Dafa practitioners during the Fa-rectification period. If we do so, focusing on the larger picture, we can handle everything with open and righteous hearts, quickly and continuously elevate our Xinxing, and do better in clarifying the truth.

During the Fa-rectification period, the process is often more important than the result. When we can handle the process well, the result will naturally comply with the standards of Falun Dafa.
