Commentary on the statement of the spokesperson for China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs that "Extremely Small Numbers Voted to Support US Concurrent House Resolution 188"

(Clearwisdom.net)

What percentage represents an "extremely small number?" That depends on what standard one uses to measure. For example, recently, China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, Mr. Kong Quan, stated that one hundred percent is "an extremely small number!"

On July 24, 2002, the United States House of Representatives unanimously passed Concurrent Resolution 188, drafted by Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and co-sponsored by 100 members of Congress, which calls on the Jiang regime to cease persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. The passing of this resolution was condemned both in speech and in writing by China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which is directly controlled by the Jiang regime. On July 25, China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Kong Quan commented that this "anti China" resolution was supported by "an extremely small number of Congressional members." Through this dissemination of misleading information, Jiang's regime has deceived its citizens while at the same time tapping into the emotion of Chinese nationalism.

In the United States House of Representatives, each Congress member represents approximately five hundred thousand voters. In reality 420 "yes" votes actually represents 200 million American people supporting Falun Gong. Why did the Jiang regime report this as "an extremely small number?" Clear minded people understand what this means. Mr. Kong Quan has put more than 200 million American people who have made a righteous decision on the opposite side of China . This is similar to what he has said in the past, "it is a political plan to destroy the relationship and friendship between China and America." What does it mean to be "anti-China?" Are those who have righteous minds and express their sense of justice by denouncing Jiang's persecution of innocent Chinese citizens to be considered "anti-China?"

In reality, the so-called 'Western anti-China force" is only a smoke screen created by the Jiang regime. By regularly appealing to people's nationalism and the blind sentiments to their country, he hopes no one will pay attention to the cruel persecution, the killing of good citizens, and the large scale plundering and corruption.

Why is Xinhua News afraid to let the Chinese people know the truth of Ms. Ros-Lehtinen's Resolution? In reality, the Jiang regime is the "anti-China force" that has dragged the Chinese people to the edge of disaster.
