Many Harbin Practitioners Are Harassed and Arrested by Police

At the end of June 2002, a person claiming to be an officer from the "610 Office" tried to break into the home of Falun Dafa practitioner Wei Yunge. Wei, who lived in Nangang District, Harbin, refused to cooperate with him. Several days later, people from his place of employment, the Harbin Coal Industry Administration Bureau, kidnapped him. His family lost contact with him. Meanwhile the police entered his home and confiscated literature clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa. They also arrested his wife and daughter, both Falun Dafa practitioners. Sources say that all three of them were illegally sentenced to five years in prison.

On August 15 2002, Harbin Falun Dafa practitioners Huang Ming and Zhou Lei were turned in by some unscrupulous people and then were illegally arrested by the police from Haping Police Station while they were out distributing truth-clarifying materials. Police ransacked their homes. Now these two practitioners are being detained in the Second Harbin Police Station (Yaziquan Police Station). At the moment the details of their current circumstances are unknown.

On August 16 2002, three policemen and two other unknown people went to 110 Taiyuan Street in Daowai District of Harbin and arrested a 70-year old couple. The couple, Mr. Lin and Mrs. Sun, refused to stamp their fingerprints on any document disavowing their practice. Police threatened to send them to a brainwashing class. Three policemen have frequently been to these Dafa practitioners' home and harassed them. One's name is Chai and the other two are chiefs from the Binjiang Police Station.

On August 22 2002, Dafa practitioner Hou Jiarong and her husband Mr. Wu, who lived in Beihuan Sandao Street of Daowai district in Harbin, were kidnapped and taken to a brainwashing class by vicious policemen from Daowai District Police Station after they refused to leave their fingerprints on any documents disavowing their practice.

We hope all practitioners who read this news will send forth righteous thoughts together to help fellow practitioners escape prison and come back to the Fa-rectification process.
