Adopting Necessary Security Measures While Doing Dafa Work

(Clearwisdom.net) I want to talk about my understanding regarding the relationship between righteous thoughts and security measures from the perspective of Fa-principles and the experiences and lessons we have accumulated in doing Dafa work. Please compassionately point out anything improper.

First, I think it is going to an extreme if we neglect security issues and fail to consciously adopt security measures. I think it is incorrect to think of security measures as conflicting with righteous thoughts or take it as a human way of thinking to pay attention to security and adopt security policies.

After studying the Fa and participating in Fa-rectification activities, I think it is in conformity with Fa-principles to adopt necessary security measures. It also has good effects. Teacher told us in Zhuan Falun: "We simply treat the issue of personal, vested interests with indifference, while in other areas we are very wise. In terms of conducting scientific research projects or carrying out assignments from our supervisors or other duties, we are very clear-minded and perform them very well. Only in terms of our personal benefits or our interpersonal conflicts will we care less." My understanding is that the difference between Dafa disciples doing Dafa jobs and ordinary people doing ordinary jobs is as follows. When Dafa disciples do Dafa jobs, they think little about their personal interests and the contradictions between people. They are selfless, magnanimous, pure and righteous-minded, with a very high xinxing. In doing specific things, they conform to the ordinary people's way. They adopt necessary security measures.

So we should do Dafa jobs clearly and neatly with our pure and righteous thoughts, making full use of the rationality and wisdom that we achieve from cultivation in the Fa. In this way, the evil can make use of no loopholes. Isn't this denying the old forces? There is a veteran practitioner who obtained the Fa in 1994, always dresses himself very neatly and does his work in perfect order and pays attention to details. Before he goes out to put up truth-clarifying materials he always sends forth righteous thoughts. He would study the surrounding environment very carefully and see which place attracts attention and yet is difficult for people to take down the material. After he finds a place, he posts the words in just the right place naturally and calmly. This Dafa practitioner always does his many jobs with the same manner of order and attention to details.

Secondly, when we emphasize using righteous thoughts to protect the surrounding environment with an insufficient sense of security or with carelessness, various attachments are hidden therein, including showing-off, zealotry, pursuit, etc. This will give excuses and opportunities for the old forces to persecute us.

For example there was a fellow practitioner who always kept Teacher's photo on the table at his house. He often talked to people about Falun Gong whenever he met them. It seemed that he had no fear, had very strong righteous thoughts and had cultivated to a very high level. However, when there were tribulations (his workplace pressured him and forced him to condemn Falun Gong) his various human attachments reduced the righteousness of his thoughts and led him to fail the test. "In cultivation practice, attachments are what need to be eliminated." (Zhuan Falun) Only when we upgrade our xinxing will we have strong righteous thoughts and break through levels in cultivation. "The higher the level one breaks through, the more he is freed from matter, and he will thus fully demonstrate his innate abilities (supernormal abilities)" ("What Are Supernormal Abilities"), the righteous thoughts will be fully exhibited and the evil will have no place to hide itself.

There is another fellow practitioner who always does Dafa work at home, but he is very strict with himself. No matter how familiar he is with the fellow practitioners, he always takes materials outside of his house to distribute them to others, or shares experiences with them in some place other than his house. Last year, there was one fellow practitioner who had contacted him frequently and was arrested, it never interfered with the normal production and distribution of Dafa materials. I think this fellow practitioner was not timid in his actions, it was done out of consideration for the overall situation - being able to supply Dafa materials continuously.

Thirdly, we have to enlighten to the phenomena of "being scared without danger." This is hinting that you have to be careful.

In our neighborhood there is a senior couple that prepares Dafa materials at home. There are always different kinds of people taking Dafa materials in and out of their house. A fellow practitioner reminded them to pay attention to the issue of safety. They did not care. The lady practitioner gave truth-clarifying materials to someone they did not know and asked him to clarify the truth. However, this person gave the truth-clarifying materials to the police substation. The policemen did not enquire about the truth materials at that time. Another time, the lady practitioner was seen by a policeman when she was posting truth-clarifying materials, and the policeman told her: "This time, it is only myself here. If we have two policemen here, you cannot escape. You will be sentenced to at least three years if you are arrested." However they were still not enlightened to it, and paid no attention. At the end of June, both the wife and husband were arrested at the same time.

Fourthly, when we find someone who is not clear or strong in his main consciousness, only after several admonishments and only if he still cannot keep a clear mind should we disconnect him from important Dafa jobs. It is very necessary to ensure the security of Dafa work and it is also beneficial for individual cultivation so that he can calm down and study the Fa more. At the same time, he can find out his attachments and get rid of them.

Only if we constantly study the Fa in depth and send forth righteous thoughts and do truth-clarifying jobs from the Fa's perspective and upgrade our understanding of the Fa-principles will we be able to do better and better in clarifying the truth so as to save more sentient beings.
