Dafa Practitioners' Fa-Rectification Stories in the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp

Today, thousands of female Dafa practitioners are still illegally detained at Masanjia, Longshan and Fushun Forced Labor Camps in Liaoning Province. Among them, the oldest practitioner is over 70. Because there are too many practitioners detained there, the newly enlarged No. 2 Women's Center of the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp is again short of beds. Generally two beds are put together and 4 people lie across them. Only 4 minutes is allowed for washing one's face and 20 minutes is permitted once a week for hand-washing their laundry.

In the past, right after Dafa practitioners were kidnapped into the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, they were forced to squat on the ground day and night. If they were too firm and refused to quit practicing Falun Gong, the lawless policemen would ask common criminals or collaborators [former Falun Gong practitioners who have gone astray due to brainwashing and torture] to beat them. They also forced them to keep standing with their knees bent, and forced them to squat on the ground or squat while wearing handcuffs and shackles. Police would beat practitioners with batons, shock them with electric batons, hang them up by handcuffs or restrict them from using the toilet.

Some practitioners were tortured until they became mentally disabled and were sent to a mental hospital. If the practitioner couldn't afford the fee for the hospital, they would be locked up in a small cell. [The detainee is locked up in a very small solitary cell. Guards handcuff practitioners behind their backs in a fixed position, in which practitioners can neither move nor lie down. The small cell is completely dark and very damp. Detainees have to urinate and defecate in the cell. Only half of a regular meal is served. During the night, rats scurry about and the stench in the small cell is so bad that it is difficult to breathe.] Practitioners are also injected with tranquilizers.

But now, right after Dafa practitioners are kidnapped into the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, they are first forced to go through fierce brainwashing. They are besieged, threatened and further enticed by the assault team members in turn, which include policemen and collaborators. The policemen also closely monitor practitioners. Whether a practitioner eats, washes their face or goes to the toilet, he or she is always strictly followed and watched by two people. From 5:30 a.m. when Dafa practitioners get up until 11:00 p.m. when they go to bed, they are suffering many tribulations. This kind of situation would last for weeks or even months.

The Dafa practitioners that successfully passed the first tribulation, although they faced so much adversity, are maintaining strong righteous thoughts to resist the evil. They refuse to copy or recite the "thirty rules" [the rules set for common criminals] and refuse to listen to the slanderous broadcasts. They are validating Dafa with their upright behavior.

One day in the beginning of June 2002, in the No. 2 Women's Center, one team held a "farewell concert" for those who would be released ahead of schedule because of having been brainwashed. These brainwashed people were driven by their attachments and have gone astray. After that, they further joined the prison guards to help the tyrant to do evil.

Genuine Dafa practitioners decided to make use of the "farewell concert" to send forth righteous thoughts, and some amazing things happened. Whether the collaborators performed a chorus, solo or duet, they all sang with a very low voice or they suddenly stopped. Some soloists had to stop twice before finishing a song. After the concert, two people who were recognized as good singers openly told the others, "I will never sing a song in this kind of situation again. I don't know why, but my throat seemed to be blocked by something and I could hardly breathe." We further strengthened our firm mind to follow Teacher, to eliminate the evil with righteous thoughts and to save people.
