A Few Incidents of Karmic Retribution in China

September 3, 2002

(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionateáreminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

1. Cherishing truth-clarification materials receives good returns

Farmer Li from an unknown town in Hulan County, Heilongjiang Province, held on to all the Dafa truth-clarification materials he received. From time to time, he took them out to read. Li's health was not very good. He had stomach problems that caused him frequent suffering. After reading the truth-clarification materials, he understood that Falun Dafa is good and the principle of receiving rewards if one kindly treats Dafa and Dafa practitioners. The elderly farmer's stomach problem was cured without any treatment, to the point where he could resume his work.

2. Slandering Dafa receives punishment

Farmer Ren Liwen is from Yaobu Town in Hulan County, Heilongjiang Province, and he often slandered Dafa in public. One day in August 2001, Ren again cursed at Falun Gong. There was a Dafa practitioner that kindly told him that he was not doing a good deed and explained the truth to him. He did not listen and increased the intensity of his slander words. Within two months, Ren's three-wheeler turned over. In the accident, he was thrown more than a dozen meters and trapped under his vehicle. He remains paralyzed from the accident to this day.

3. Do not commit evil acts

Cao Shuquan, male, is from Xuegezhuang Village, Taishi Township in Miyun County, Beijing. Since July 20, 1999, he often carried a bat at the road intersections to intercept Dafa practitioners going to Beijing to appeal. After the first month of the Chinese New Year in 2002, four of his family members died one after another. One of them was his son, who died in a car accident no more than one month after getting married. Now Cao Shuquan has become mentally unstable. He cannot take care of himself in terms of daily living. Even people from neighboring towns are very surprised. Do not commit evil acts, because karmic retribution is real.

Chen Lianshu, male, is 73 years old. He is a villager from Xinzhuangzi Village, Liudian Township, Pinggu District, Beijing. He often cooperated with authorities to monitor Dafa practitioners and slandered Dafa regularly. He was involved in a traffic accident in July 2002. As a result, he cannot take care of his basic daily needs and is unable to get around easily.
