Dafa Disciples Injected with Mind-Altering Drugs at the Wanjia Labor Camp Hospital in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province

Female Dafa disciples Liu Limei, Xu Menglan and Gao Guofeng, who are being detained in the Second Detention Center, have been on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. Liu has been on the hunger strike for over five months, Gao for over 70 days and Xu for over 20 days. Because of their persistence, they were sent to the Wanjia Labor Camp Hospital for forced-feeding and injections. Since they firmly resisted the force-feeding, the Wanjia Hospital forcefully gave them mind-altering drugs.

At 8:30 a.m. on June 6, 2002, the head nurse and several others including a guard, other nurses and prisoners forcibly held down Liu Limei, Gao Guofeng and Xu Menglan. They then gave the practitioners an injection of drugs. Liu lost consciousness very quickly because of her light weight. The head nurse Han considered force-feeding her after she lost consciousness but decided against it. A few minutes later, the Hospital Director Hao and two doctors came to give Liu Limei emergency treatment. Liu was revived briefly but quickly fell unconscious again. Even before she fully regained consciousness, the doctors and nurses force-fed and injected her again, causing her to lose consciousness for about another 30 hours.

On June 26, Gao Guofeng was injected with drugs and then force-fed. She passed in and out of consciousness, and felt very dizzy upon awakening. After 24 hours, she couldn't sleep but her mind was very clouded. Xun Menglan felt dizzy and weak after the injection but was force-fed anyway.

The nurse came to force-feed the practitioners at around 6 a.m. on June 30. Because Xu Menglan refused to cooperate with them, guard Yu Fangli banged her head against the wall and lifted up her two arms backwards by force. They also beat her until she couldn't see clearly out of her right eye. They also stomped on her feet. Because she refused to give in, Xu was given another dose of the mind-altering drugs later. They force-fed her again until she started gushing blood out of her nose and soiled the bed sheet. The head nurse Han said callously: "We'll force-feed you as long as you're still alive."

Liu Limei was given injections on July 1 and July 5. The injection on July 1 caused Liu to lose control of her bowels. The next injection made her sleep for 24 hours. Liu was tortured until she almost died and was picked up by her family on July 11.

In spite of the cruel torture, the practitioners maintained their righteous thoughts and actions. During the torture sessions, the practitioners would shout loudly: "Falun Dafa is good," "Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa," and "The world needs Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance."
