I was electrically shocked and force-fed drugs in a mental hospital. At the end of July 1999, my family and relatives lost their rationale due to the false information about Falun Gong that was being broadcast on TV and spread through other media by the Jiang regime. They got together and committed me to a mental hospital. During the following 9 days, I was tied to a bed. I had to do everything, including eating, drinking and discharging on the bed. Everyday, I was force-fed or injected with drugs that are reserved for mental patients. I was electrically shocked and lost consciousness on one occasion. I felt extremely miserable and understood what was meant by the saying, "some things are worse than death." This kind of pain was not from my flesh body. It was the pain of seeing the souls of the people being twisted to this terrible extent by the false propaganda of the Jiang regime. My heart was full of sorrow when I realized the extent of damage that the propaganda had done to the people.

After many years of military life, my temper had improved quite a bit, but I found I still had a bad temper. After I obtained Dafa in 1997, my xinxing was constantly upgraded and my temper was completely gone. One time, several people in my unit did some really bad things. Instead of losing my temper, I discussed the issue with them in the way that Teacher said to, with compassion. As a result, they all shed tears and understood that they had done wrong. Because of this incident, the military officers around me were willing to listen to me talk about things related to Falun Dafa. Some even started to read Falun Dafa books. After witnessing the changes that I underwent, my classmates have shown an interest in Falun Dafa.

Central News Agency: August 28^th report. The 12^th annual meeting of the World Congress of Psychiatry in Yokohama, Japan has passed a resolution to investigate the China government's use of mental institutions for dissidents. The investigation is to be completed before spring of 2003. A specialist at this conference who studies issues in China was worried that the Chinese ruling Party will expand its abuse of mental institutions. Ever since Beijing began its persecution of Falun Gong, the situation has worsened.

Central News Agency: August 28^th report. The 12^th annual meeting of WPA in Yokohama has concluded successfully. The Chinese ruling Party's use of mental institution for dissidents has been brought to people's attention. The association will send a delegation to China for investigation of this matter. A professor from New York Medical CollegeHH and other experts called for the Party to stop the abuse of using mental institutions to persecute Falun Gong practitioners.

Scientists found that each and every one of the organs in our bodies is like an independent being, with different biological clock. For example, the biological clocks in human liver and heart perform similar function through entirely different genes. The findings indicate that our organs have independent life activities. Ancient Chinese science believes that these organs are independent beings. For example, Taoists believe that the human body is a universe, with many kinds of different beings inside; whereas Chinese medicine believes that individual human organ is an independent system, with different organs of different properties. They have their individual life activities, and yet they are connected, interacting with each other through the Five Elements based on the principle of mutual-generation and mutual-inhibition.

Recent research on the development of the fetus of ostrich indicated that it was unlikely that birds evolved from dinosaurs. Researchers found that the similarities in their appearances cannot be used as evidence. In addition, it has been discovered that the earliest bird is found to exist between 25,000,000 to 80,000,000 years earlier than the earliest bird-like dinosaur.

At around 9 p.m. on August 28, in various places across China, many people saw UFOs in round shape appearing in the sky. The places where UFOs were reported included Shaanxi Province, Chengdu City (in Sichuan Province), Lanzhou City (in Gansu Province), cities of Zhengzhou, Kaifeng, Nanyang and Zhoukou in Henan Province.

A short article: modify the concept of productivity.

The philosophy texts used in China often hold that productivity is the ability that humans possess to conquer and alter nature, which is in fact wrong. The correct understanding is that productivity is the ability that humans have to know and utilize nature. Nowadays, humans pay too much attention to economy, development and wealth. They are obsessed with modern science; they advocate individuality; they pursue material abundance, without knowing that wealth proves nothing, and does not mean happiness, and modern science is not omnipotent. In fact, what humans are currently doing has completely deviated from the law of nature. Humans are becoming more and more blundering, selfish, myopic and indifferent, and they are eager for quick success and instant benefit. Humans cannot see the true nature of the universe outside empirical science, and they are becoming further and further away from nature. What humans are not aware of is that they are destroying nature, which eventually will lead to destruction of themselves. We hereby tell humans such principles: determine how much to produce based on how much you want to consume; make full use of every thing; do not take more than you need; do not casually trash things; be reverent to Gods, value virtue and behave in good manners. All these are things that can ensure humans to survive generations after generations.
