He graduated from Shandong Institute of Industry (former name of Shandong University), and worked at the liquidation headquarters of the central office of the People's Bank of China.

On August 28, 2002, he was tortured to death while being held at the Jining Detention Center.

Wang Chan, you are gone. You went so fast. Many things are still waiting for you to deal with. I really cannot believe it's true.

The ordinary human world has lost a good person, and we have also lost a good fellow practitioner. I lost a good brother. After being with you for several months, I cannot find words to describe the greatness, unselfishness, great compassion and great tolerance of a Fa-rectification Dafa practitioner that you manifested.

You worked in the central office of People's Bank of China, and were well known as a leader of high tech.

When the evil began its persecution, you immediately wrote down the crimes committed by the head of evil together with Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials, and you sent them to all levels of government departments all over the country, which aroused strong reactions. You also wrote to the head of evil itself to let it know the true facts about Falun Dafa, and requested it to stop committing crimes. Jiang was furious, and gave orders to put you in jail for three months. You had no complaint or hatred, but continued to safeguard Dafa. Due to the evil persecution, you were forced to leave your workplace and become homeless. The vile people offered 100, 000 Yuan as a bounty for your arrest.

On the path of Fa-rectification, you took every step well and in a righteous way. You used up all of your savings--200, 000 Yuan--for Fa-rectification. You bought five copy machines, and five computers and printers. You left your footprint of Fa-rectification everywhere you went.

You once said to me: No matter how harsh and evil the persecution is, we simply follow what Teacher requires us to do, and no one can do anything to us." In the final section of the path, you left us.

I carefully packed up your remaining things, and I found that everything manifests the greatness of a Dafa disciple.

You had six big bags. You carried them on your shoulder and took them in your hands, as you traveled to every corner of the country, leaving your footprints of Fa-rectification everywhere. In order to avoid the pursuit of the evil, you became thinner and thinner. How tired you were! There were many, many other things I did not know, or did not have the chance to know.

You had a pair of capable hands; you were able to handle all those technical problems, and you also patiently taught us many, many skills. You were well-spoken and shared your understanding of Fa principles with fellow practitioners. I cannot remember how many Fa conferences at which you helped other practitioners, through exchanging experiences and understanding, to become rational, wise, and mature. There were still others that I did not know or have chance to know.

Your eyes were so sharp that the evil was terrified. No matter how rampant the evil was to pursue you, you kept doing what you were supposed to do. Your heart was given to all sentient beings, and nobody could block you. You had a lofty and broad mind and righteous behavior. You always gave others the best you had.

We had determined that we would walk on the path of assisting Teacher to do Fa-rectification until the end. However, several days later, I was shocked to hear that you had been tortured to death by the vicious police. I was so grieved. I realize my responsibility, and the sacred mission on me. Regardless of the circumstances, offering salvation to people is urgent and imperative.

When you were being held and were enduring brutal persecution, I slacked off a bit; however, I had two dreams: the first time you pointed out to me seriously that I was not concerned about fellow practitioners enough. The second time you became more serious, and said, "Why haven't you done well what you are supposed to do?"

My brother, please set your heart at rest. We will continue on the path you have not walked through, and we will be steadfast. Things you had not finished, we will carry on. We will follow Teacher to do Fa-rectification until the Fa rectifies the human world, and help every predestined person have a bright and wonderful future.
