Mr. Yang Heping, over 20 years old, is a Dafa practitioner from Jiayuguan City who had begun cultivation in June of 1999.

In June 2002, Dafa truth-clarifying flyers appeared in Jiayuguan City, which caused great panic among the persecutors. Without any proof or evidence, some lawless officials, together with railway policemen, went to Yang Heping's home and ransacked it. They then kidnapped him into a brainwashing class. Yang has been held for over two months. His younger sister who is not even a practitioner was not allowed to visit him. It's said several other fellow practitioners have been kidnapped, too.

Yang Heping, the person in charge of his workshop, was an outstanding employee. Because of his pro-active attitude, his excellent job performance and solid knowledge, he was elected to represent his work unit in competitions and earned a lot of prizes for his work unit. During the past two years though, he endured a lot of persecution, simply because he persisted in his belief in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance." He was transferred to another position. His salary was reduced from over a thousand Yuan to two hundred Yuan per month. At present, he is still being detained and is suffering in the brainwashing center.

Not only did he have to endure punishments of various kinds, but Mr. He (first name unknown), an over 20 years old practitioner from Sunan County was forced to leave home in order to avoid persecution. He lived in exile in Jiayuguan City. To earn a small income, this practitioner had to support himself by transporting garbage and collecting scrap iron. Around July 20, 2002, he suddenly disappeared. There has been no information about him since then. It's believed that police secretly arrested him.

On August 12, three lawless policemen illegally ransacked the houses of 63-year-old practitioner Ms. Liu Suqing and 57-year old practitioner Ms. Jiang Xiulian from Tianshui City, Gansu Province. They threatened these practitioners and deceived them into coming to Tianshui City's Qincheng Police Precinct for illegal detention. The two Dafa practitioners were forcibly fined 2,000 and 4,000 Yuan respectively [500 Yuan is the average monthly income in urban areas of China; rural income is only 200 Yuan]. The policemen even plotted to send them to a local police precinct for brainwashing.

Several days ago, in Dalian City's Xinmate Giant Supermarket, security guards took away two older Dafa practitioners and a young female Dafa practitioner when they distributed Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials. We remind fellow practitioners: when distributing truth-clarifying materials in supermarkets, send forth strong, righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil in other dimensions behind the supermarket's actions.
