Suggestions for Dealing with Harassment by CCTV Reporters During A World Cup Basketball Game and Similar Incidents

(Clearwisdom Net) In the future, if a similar incident occurs, we should immediately call 911 and report the CCTV reporter's harassment to the police. The police will ask for the reporter's ID; hence, we will get his name. We also have to keep a record of the police report and telephone call.

We should tell the police that we are Falun Gong practitioners, a group of good people practicing Truth, Compassion, and Forbearance. The head of the PRC and his group are persecuting us. Even in the United States, we are harassed while watching a basketball game. We ought to let the police know that we are being harassed because of our beliefs.

After that, we should contact the institutions upholding justice and protecting human rights, such as, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), and ask for their suggestions on how to handle incidents like that through the American legal system.

American laws protect the freedoms of all people in the United States. The U.S. Constitution guarantees that nobody should be harassed because of his beliefs, especially not while in America and as a result of illegal policies being carried out by a foreign government. At the same time, the U.S. law requires people in America to safeguard such laws by seeking justice and protecting their rights from persecution and tyranny.
