Astonished to learn of my father's death, I immediately phoned my mother back home in China. When she picked up the phone I could hear her sobbing with grief on the other end of the line. I asked, "Have you informed elder sister [of father's death] yet?" She replied, "I'm afraid your elder sister might die soon as well!" Upon hearing this, I began to cry along with her. She said, "Presently, your sister is being detained at a psychiatric hospital and is very weak. Her blood pressure and blood sugar levels are very high. If she cannot bear this sad news her health might further deteriorate. I don't think I could bear facing two deaths in the family at the same time!" I said to her, "In that case, we should contact the president of elder sister's school and ask them to unconditionally demand that the government let elder sister attend father's funeral ceremony."

Shortly after my conversation with mother, I learned that my family had already contacted the president of the school. Upon learning of my father's death, the school immediately sent officials to ask the "610 Office" (an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems) to allow my sister to attend the funeral. But the "610 Office" paid no attention to the request and said that my sister would not be allowed to leave the psychiatric hospital.

Over the past three years, the Jiang regime has used any and all means to viciously persecute Falun Dafa practitioners. My sister had been illegally arrested a couple of times before being sentenced to the psychiatric hospital, and has already gone through numerous types of torture and coercion. She has been forced to attend a brainwashing class where she was brutally beaten, harassed, shackled, and force fed; she has been put into solitary confinement with toilet mops and other dirty articles jammed in her mouth; she has been injected with unknown drugs and shocked with electric batons while tied down to a bed. Even after going through all of this, she has still continued to use her compassionate heart to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa to her oppressors.

Currently, my mother is very unstable. On the phone to me she said, "When your father was persecuted and died of a heart attack, his blood sugar content was very high. Now your sister is also being persecuted for practicing Falun Dafa, and her blood pressure and blood sugar content are very high as well." My mother is very worried for my sister's life and hopes she will be able to come home soon.

With this, we call for the kind support of all media, groups and individuals around the world: Your caring reports, letters, phone calls and signatures are a great encouragement to the countless Falun Dafa practitioners who are being unjustly persecuted in China for upholding Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance.
