During the 2002 Swedish Non-government Organization Summit held from August 30 to September 1 in Gothenburg,áa one and half hour seminar on the persecution of Falun Gong in China was held at 11:00 a.m. on September 1. It was scheduled by the organizers of the summit and given by the Friends of Falun Gong in Sweden (FIGS).

The Chairman of FIGS invited two Swedish practitioners to speak at the seminar.áAfter seeing the truth-clarifying films and the talks by the practitioners,ámore people gained a better understanding of what Falun Gong was and the evil nature of the persecution. Some in the audience were even moved to tears. They stayed and asked more questions after the seminar.
