California: Presenting Practitioners' Artwork to Introduce Dafa at the Marin College Unity Fair (Photos)
By a practitioner from California (Clearwisdom.net) Last Wednesday and Thursday, local Falun Dafa practitioners participated in the College of Marin's 9th annual unity Fair. The College of Marin's Unity Fair showed many sides of the spectrum of man's collective journey towards peace. Participants came from all parts of the community and from a broad spectrum of ethnicities and interests.
Two of the practitioners are local college students. Practitioners displayed works of art and music created by other practitioners who are professionals in those fields. Specifically, they displayed watercolor prints and calligraphy by Ms. Zhang Cuiying. They also gave out free bookmarks and VCD's of her work, and told passersby about her heroic story of imprisonment, courage and triumph in the face of the Chinese government's persecution of Falun gong practitioners. Also many free Chinese traditional music CD's were given out to other participants of the fair and students. People who stopped at the booth remarked at the beauty, tranquility and compassion, which they could feel from the artwork and music of the practitioners. The practitioners were honored to be participating in a community of such closeness and friendship.
