Germany: Clarifying the Truth to the Deputy Mayor of Berlin
By a German practitioner
(Clearharmony.net) Regarding Jiang's trip to Germany in April, practitioners
hired a counselor to contact the deputy mayor of Berlin, who is in charge of
local affairs, and arrange a meeting on September 13 for himself and two
practitioners. Another practitioner wrote a letter to make another appointment
two hours later on the same day.
On the night before the meeting, the five practitioners who would meet the
deputy major studied the Fa with other practitioners and discussed the next
day's two meetings according to the Fa. We realized that it was not accidental
to meet the same officer twice on the same day. We were to clarify the facts
deeply and thoroughly, point out the wrongdoings committed by participating
persons with compassion and caution them not to be controlled and used by evils.
The next day when two practitioners and their counselor talked with the
deputy mayor, a police officer and a personal assistant, other practitioners
were sending forth righteous thoughts outside, as were practitioners in other
cities. The officers did not know what exactly had happened in Berlin last
April, and were astonished when the counselor presented the specific cases. The
deputy mayor said that under first-class security precautions, it was imaginable
to have restrictions on freedom; however, what he disagreed with was different
treatments for different races. They would investigate the case and respond with
a policy that would make sure this kind of thing would not happen again. Based
on the principle of "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance,"
practitioners told them with benevolence that what happened was not good for
Germany, and we did not want to see more people accused of supporting the
Chinese government's persecution because of not knowing the truth. Afterwards,
the counselor said he was surprised but happy to see that the atmosphere was
amiable and practitioners did not mean to blame anyone. The dialogue between
practitioners and every government department will continue in cities where the
PRC head had been.
Two hours later, the other three practitioners talked with the deputy mayor
and the police officer about what Falun Gong was and Jiang's evil persecution in
China for more than one hour. One policeman practitioner said Falun Gong brought
him internal harmony and peace, and he became more rational and benevolent when
dealing with people and issues in his job. Then we watched the video of "An
Appeal to the Whole World." As they concentrated on the video, tears
flickered in their eyes. They said they understood the Chinese government's way
of doing things and that Falun Gong was peaceful. In the beginning, they were
concerned that we intended to spread the Fa to them; then they realized that we
were only talking about the persecution. Certainly, we also mentioned the
peaceful state of Falun Gong practitioners that comes from cultivating
"Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance." We noted that Mr.
Schroeder and Mr. Fischer had different attitudes about Falun Gong. The deputy
major was astonished about Mr. Schroeder's willingness to avoid mentioning the
persecution of Falun Gong and said we had to keep up our effort.
Afterwards, we exchanged opinions with the counselor, and he was impressed by
the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance," as they
were reflected in the way we behaved. We feel that upper-level politicians are
not aware of what exactly happened in April when Jiang visited Germany. The
messages they receive are filtered and therefore, this kind of direct dialogue
is essential. Appealing to higher-levels is a good chance to clarify the facts
deeply and thoroughly. Besides, the way we behave according to
"Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance" is also a very important
part of clarifying the truth. Meanwhile, we should not be obstructed by human
kindness. We have to point out the wrongdoings committed by everyday people with
righteous thoughts and inform them of the serious consequences of such
wrongdoings. |
