Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

Officer Zhang Fayin, from the Town of Zhugou Police Station, Pindu City, Shandong Province, had used many kinds of torture methods against Falun Dafa practitioners. For example, he stripped practitioners of their clothes, shackled them, and then left them to freeze on the ground that was covered with snow and ice. Zhang burned practitioners with hot steel rods that were tipped with hooks; he used hooks to maul practitioners' backs. He severely beat practitioners with wooden clubs that were five centimeters in diameter (two inches), until the clubs broke. He then continued his brutal torture with an iron rod. Zhang used his fists to beat practitioners, punching their eyes and other sensitive areas. He even exclaimed that on the day of that the Fa rectifies the human world, he would commit suicide by hitting his head against something hard. On the afternoon of September 3^rd 2002, Zhang fell to the ground after having several alcoholic drinks. He suddenly had the symptoms of a terrible disease and died almost immediately. He was 31 years of age.

Li Guolei, Nanhuangtong's Militiaman Commander, who had written and posted slogans attacking Falun Dafa and slandering Teacher Li, has received retribution. While riding his motorcycle at 1 o'clock in the afternoon on August 31^st 2002, he fell off and was killed. He was 39 years of age.

Man Zhenxiu, the Vice Party Secretary of Zhugou town, assisted the evil regime by organizing and participating in the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners. He had been so severe that Zhugou town had become one of the worst locations of persecution of Falun Dafa. Man Zhenxiu discovered that he has cancer this past summer.
