Picking Up New Students from the Airport; Clarifying the Truth with Compassion

(Clearwisdom.net) Every year when the new semester starts, as the chairman of the Chinese Student Association, I am busy picking up new students from the airport. One day, four students arrived in my city in the US from China. I went back and forth to the airport from 6am till 11pm. I didn't get home until after 2am the next day. Before that, I had been busy helping them look for housing to settle into. As a Dafa practitioner, I am happy to help others.

We spoke frequently about Falun Gong. Some students didn't understand Dafa because of the vicious propaganda in China. Some had already seen through the Chinese regime's propaganda and didn't believe it any more. When students who had had a misconception about Dafa saw practitioners' true behavior and selflessness, their misconceptions vanished immediately.

I remembered the year before I had picked up a student who used to be a reporter for CCTV. He understood very well the corruption in Chinese media and government. Since he knew I was a Falun Gong practitioner, he often turned to me for help.

One time, a student's wife was calling her parents in China. Her parents quoted some slanderous words against Dafa from the Chinese government. She said, "Don't listen to the propaganda. The chairman of our Student Association and his wife are Falun Gong practitioners. They are all very nice people."

Another student encountered a lot of trouble when he first arrived and I always tried to help him out. He was very touched and wanted to practice Dafa. He said that when he had seen Dafa practitioners' behavior, he knew that practitioners were all good people.

In our university, almost none of the students from China are against Dafa, especially those who have been in the US for a while. They have many chances to learn about Falun Gong and even to get to know practitioners personally. Without the influence of the intensive propaganda like in China, they are all able to see the truth of Dafa clearly.
