Practitioner Struck by Taxi Expresses Gratitude to Teacher: Righteous Thoughts Accompany Healing from Trauma

In the afternoon of July 20, 2002, my spouse and I went shopping. A taxi ran into us, hitting us very hard. Its front collided with our left sides, impacting our hips and waists. The front tire ran over our left feet, cutting our shoes and socks in two, and leaving our feet completely black and blue. Afterwards I was lying on the ground and could not move. But my mind was clear and my thoughts were righteous. I was thinking about teacher and Fa; I thought I would be all right.

Many people surrounded us in the road. Not wanting to block traffic, my spouse immediately said to the taxi driver: "Please take us home." The driver was frightened and trembled. After arriving home I said to the driver, "Don't be scared. We practice Falun Gong. We won't take advantage of you and ask for money, but we have a request." He asked, "What is it?" I answered, "You need to believe Falun Dafa is good!" At last the driver said: "I believe! Today I really met good people! I will come to see you tonight." I said, "You don't need to come. It is enough if you can do what I requested."

After he left I felt very sick and could not eat or drink for 5 days. I had a bad headache. It was so painful that I could not go to sleep or even turn my body around. I knew my vertebra was broken and my pelvis was fractured. Teacher said at the Fa Conference in Boston: "Although there's still a difficult leg of the journey ahead of us, it won't last long. I hope that everyone will do even better from this point on." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Boston") I was wondering whether I was on this difficult leg of the journey. After July 20, 1999, I went to Beijing to clarify the Fa many times, and overcame hardships and tribulations one by one. I did not surrender to the evil. My thoughts at this present time were that this tribulation now was very ominous and dangerous, but I have teacher and Fa -- I am sure I can pass it!

So I calmly and quietly endured the pain that penetrated through my heart and into my bones. "When it's difficult to endure, you can endure it. When it's impossible to do, you can do it." "When you are overcoming a real hardship or tribulation, you try it. When it is difficult to endure, try to endure it. When it looks impossible and is said to be impossible, give it a try and see if it is possible. If you can actually do it, you will indeed find: 'After passing the shady willow trees, there will be bright flowers and another village ahead!'" (Mr. Li Hongzhi, Zhuan Falun). I was thinking about Teacher's words as I went to sleep. I felt that Teacher give me strength. "You need to be worthy of the title 'Fa-rectification period Dafa disciple'"! ("Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Boston") Teacher's words shocked my heart. I said to myself: I would use my life to clarify the truth to the people of the world if I could recover very quickly. When this thought came out, the miracle happened. I did not feel any pain on my waist and I could move my hips. After two days, I could walk with a little help from others.

I thank our compassionate Teacher -- the power of Dafa gave me this second life! I will use my life to clarify the truth and save sentient beings in the world. Study the Fa well, clarify the truth, send righteous thoughts, fulfill our great mission given by history, be worthy of the title "Fa-rectification period Dafa disciple" and repay our teacher's great mercy.
