Niigata Daily (Japan): Concerning the Arrest of Falun Gong Practitioner from Hamachi, Niigata County, Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Official Asks China for a Proper Resolution

According to Kyodo News' report in Beijing on August 28: in order to negotiate with China about consulate convention, when Japanese visiting government official Satou Shigekazu from the Asia-Oceania Bureau of Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs had a conversation with Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Official Zhou Wenzhong on August 28, he requested a proper resolution to the issue of the Chinese woman (Yoko Kaneko) who is married to a Japanese man and lived in Harmachi, Sado, Niigata County, Japan. She was arrested for distributing Falun Gong materials in Beijing. Zhou said, "We know the concerns from the Japanese side."
