Clarifying the Truth to a Local Street Residential Committee Official

(Clearwidom.net) A recent event let me experience the greatness of Falun Dafa. During the Party's 16^th national congress, I was once again monitored by the elevator operator in our building for three consecutive days, my up or down times were recorded. That happened before whenever a "sensitive day" (like New Year's Day) came. Fellow practitioners in the same building had similar experiences. In the past, I just thought that I was not afraid of being monitored. This time, I thought about the issue carefully, why did this happen to me? Is it that I have loopholes? Is it true that I am really not afraid of anything?

By checking my heart carefully, I found that deep in my heart, I still have some feeling of fear, or otherwise I would not have paid attention to whether they looked at their watches of not. If I had no fears, I would not have paid attention to them. That happened again and again, revealing that I have loopholes. Our Teacher said:

"Wherever there's a problem, that is where you need to clarify the truth and save people. Don't take a detour when you run into difficulties. When you see something that does us harm, or when you see something blocking our validating the Fa, don't take a detour--you should face it, and clarify the truth and save those beings. This is the compassion (cibei) of a Dafa disciple, and it's our saving lives. At the same time, when you're clarifying the truth you can resolve the problem of many people having been deceived by the misunderstandings, and the prejudice."

I realized that the situation is not right. I am an open and dignified Dafa practitioner; nobody is qualified to monitor me. I should rectify this issue. So in my mind, I sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evils that are controlling them in other dimensions.

At noon, I knocked at the door of the residential office and described what happened during the past three days. I told the apartment head: "I am not wrong for practicing Falun Gong and being a good person. You know that I had a serious heart attack before. At such a young age, I could not even carry a five-kilo bag of rice. Whenever an ambulance came, people in the building would think that I was sick again. I became healthy and a better person after I started practicing Falun Gong. Since we follow the teaching of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance, we do only good deeds. Today I am proudly telling you that in my family, I am a good mother, wife and daughter-in-law, in society I am a good law-abiding citizen. There are no reasons to monitor such good people."

Hearing my words, the official replied: "We all know you are good and your illness was cured through the practice of Falun Gong. Police indeed came to me a few days ago and said that every Falun Gong practitioner should fill out a form and make a declaration to stop the practice. We know you will never fill out the form, so I filled out the form for you by saying you are not practicing anymore and wrote down a good review for you. We know that your mother-in-law is in her nineties now, if it weren't for you taking such good care of her, she would not be so sturdy and energetic. All the people in the building are praising you!"

I said: "I thank you for the review, but I had to declare one point: I would never say I will quit the practice of Falun Gong. During the past years, no matter who asked me, my answer has always been: yes, I'll practice! Without Falun Gong there would be no me today. It's our Teacher who gave me a second life; he let me understand the true meaning of life and teaches me to be a better and better person. My mother-in-law is energetic in her nineties, it's true that she is being taken good care of, but the real reason is that she has been practicing Falun Gong together with me."

After a short pause, she asked some other questions about some of her misconceptions I explained issues such as the Zhongnanhai appeal, the "Tiananmen staged immolation," and Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. I said we appeal to the government because we still trust the government and we hope for fair treatment. But we were unjustly mistreated. Some Dafa practitioners' families were broken up, and some died under the persecution. We know we are innocent. What we are protecting is the dignity of Dafa, what we are doing is the most righteous! I came to talk with you today because I have a clear conscience and wanted you to know the truth. I noticed the quick changes of her facial expression. The facts and compassionate righteous thoughts dissolved her suspicions and awoke the kind side in her mind. She listened quietly and nodded frequently.

Finally she said: "I really did not like to do this kind of work because of the pressure! What you said to me today I have never heard of before." Having clarified the truth, I stood up to say good-bye. I saw she had gratitude towards me in her mind. She said: "I'll talk to the elevator worker soon." I asked him to please tell them not only are we good people, the practitioners who come to my home are all good people too. They should not be monitored. The second day when I met the elevator operator, the whole situation had changed totally.

Two days later, we had an experience-sharing meeting in my home. Our environment was freer. Dear overseas fellow practitioners, please let our Teacher know that we will work even harder to spread the truth of Dafa, to rectify the Fa and save people, until that day when the Fa-rectification comes to this world.
